I can't remember who in my friend group first discovered Space Colony, but it spread through the ranks like a wild fire. It was at our local Dollar General, a sure sign of quality if ever there was one. All these years later, it still holds up. It's clunky and missing many 'quality of life' features, but it's charm more than makes up for it.
i have played many more hours of this game when i was yonger untill the cd got broken so when i found out it was on steam i had to buy it. i proabably have a bias but this game is great id recomend it to anyone whos been looking at it but id probably wait till a sale as it has aged mediocre and i can see some of the older stuff annoying some people but id still give it a soilid 7 to an 8 out of 10 game
This was the first ever game i played on pc back in 2003 and is what got me into the sims with that said the game is still very much a game from 2003 with all the limitations and jank from when the game first came out, i'm sure that most people playing this game are like me and are playing it for nostagic reasons and so the jank is a bit less annoying but it's still very much there such as not being able to rotate things like beds, the pause key being P which yes makes sense but it's just awkward, the space bar or the number keys 1,2 and 3 for the time controls would've been far better, you also have having to right click to exit out of stuff and to deselect a character which is annoying as it leads to you telling characters to do things you didn't mean to tell them to do because you forgot to deselect them or didn't realize you still had them selected, there's more but that's the stuff you're gonna noticed within the first few minutes of playing.
