This game is pretty fun soo far. It slightly reminds me of a rogue like Link to the past on SNES.

If this game is on sale for around 10 bucks or less get it Fun little roguelite, progression can be a bit grindy that being said I haven't finished it because I tend to pop around to different games, mostly the story has to really grab me for me to want to go all the way

Its not a bad game but it could be much better. Its a similar zelda like roguelike, but with less puzzles overall. The game is cute enough, and of decent length. The combat is very simple, with a basic attack and a charge attack thats kinda slow and you may not use a lot. Theres a few gadgets you use that all do the same thing, just shoot a projectile. You pick up a few quick use items like mines and rockets that you'll use sparingly and thats about the complexity of the combat. You get nothing that ever changes your playstyle so the game can get quite repetitive in that aspect. The randomization is mild at best, as you're in the same environment but in slightly different layouts but you discover the same mines, enemies, and areas, so it really doesn't add any novelty or increased replayability. For the roguelike elements theyre also undercooked. You get more health, damage, and energy, as well as a map and some markets. Its mostly stat bonuses and also kind of boring along with the combat. I don't think making this game a roguelike really adds much to it. The bosses are all fine but the last one is truly terribly designed. The first phase is fine, but the last phase is the lazy trope of just fighting waves of enemies from the game, but while the boss is also randomly firing attacks with large attack patterns and small dodge windows. The dodge has no iframes which is also an issue with the game and this makes the boss fight worse. You heal between phases but don't save for no reason, and any items you use during are lost even if you retry the fight for no apparent reason, meaning if you use your healing items and don't beat it good luck. Now you need to farm healing items of which theres no easy way to do. Also the roguelike elements cost a lot during escalation for how little money you get during runs, making it extra grindy. The game is just ok overall, and could have done better without the roguelike format. But the combat works fine enough and the bosses are good outside of the last terribly designed oned. 7/10.

It is a bit short, but has a beautiful art style, nice soundtrack and sound design and a simple yet cool gameplay. I just wish the ranged weapons could feel more different from one another, all 3 of them feel kind of the same to use with the charge attack.
