I got it in a bundle. Look the game isn't that good, but it's not that bad either. The bad is that you pretty much have to do everything manually, there's almost 0 automation (there's sprinklers but does that count). You can hire staff for your base but you can't order them to do any of the chores you do manually, which is a huge oversight. Like others said, there's not a lot to do in the town apart from very linear quests, it's a bit grindy, and its content is way too safe. Like, seeds, plant, water, make a bicycle, etc. There's no hidden powers, no sci-fi elements, everything is cute and happy and safe, and what you've probably already seen a thousand times. But it's not "bad" exactly. It is what it is. If you like planting seeds, watering them, harvesting them, making food with the ingredients, then selling that food, it's fun I suppose! I just don't really think it's for me. But I can't "not recommend" it based on my subjective taste, so that's why the thumbs up. Hope this helps!

9/10 A Farming, Survival, Base Building, RPG Game! So about this game, this game is like Harvest Moon, you know where we need to take care our farm, meet local people, take care of sheep, cow, chicken, etc. But this game is not only focus on Farm, it more focus to the island and TOURISM. Yes, you can BUILD SHIP, explore Island to progress Story, fight enemy and craft gears. The tourist can be recruited as your staff and they will work for you :D Its a GOOD GAME! The game duration is depend on you, if you want to focus on Main Story, then the time to finish the game is short. But if you focus on crafting, exploring maps, and expanding your farms, it could be a long game duration :D

The game is easy to play with mouse and keyboard. It's fun and you can progress fairly rapidly. The tutorial is helpful but could be better. Some information is available on the internet but some of it is outdated and it would be nice if there was a comprehensive player manual.

Yes i would recommend this but...as a new player so far imma bit frustrated.....how to build a chest?....how to get an ingot? Thinking it will be more fun but at the starting point a bit frustrated.

This stardew-like has a lot of pros but also a lot of cons. If you play these kind of games for engaging characters and story, Spirit of the Island will be a disappointment. If you play primarily for farming/crafting/and exploring, this one is fairly strong on those points with some interesting features, like the ability to create rentals cabins and stores of your own.
