this is a good game to play during a zoom. simple premise, strategy involved, not turn based, can pause, helps with my AD-HD. has enough variety in companies, bases and artifacts to last about 50 hours before getting repetitive. good bank for the buck.

First, if you are not interested in a strategic challenge (and/or are here because of Blitz's video), stop. This game is not for you. You will have a bad time. If you can think past the minimalist art style, this is a game with a lot of value. The gameplay is unique, I wouldn't call it a tower defense game. What I can say about this game is that it is very replayable. There is no "meta" that you can use in every run, as there is some RNG that will shape how your run looks, but won't cause you to win or lose. Also, you are able to unlock alternate loadouts with different weaponry and upgrades. Every building in every loadout has its own 6-upgrade tech tree that allows each of your buildings to work differently each run. The best skill to have in this game is the ability to plan. Your construction and effects don't happen instantly. Your buildings have to arrive from orbit before you are able to use them, with some buildings taking up to 20 seconds. If you can't think a few seconds into the future at all times, you will have a bad time. Also, you can unlock different stations which change how this delivery mechanism works for additional variety. There are 5 difficulties: Adventurer: easy mode, skip this Officer: good for new players Captain: if you can beat this, this game is for you Star Lord: hard, but enjoyable Legend: very hard, almost impossible A full run takes about an hour, but it is split into 12 missions, and you can save between each one, making this a not bad coffee break game. Don't expect to be good at the game immediately. You will lose many times before understanding what to do. If that doesn't sound appealing, this game is not for you. This may be one of the best strategy games I've seen so far. If you are a fan of the genre, and you are undaunted by the rest of this review, you may want to consider playing this. If you do, it's worth the price. Opinions on the game mecanics (for other players): I personally don't find Federation satisfying to play. I am satisfied that Alliance and Corporation exist, but I can't say the unlock mechanism is good for new players. Also supplies are underpowered if you don't use radar.

Every mission start is harder than it has right to be. Feels like on higher difficulties you're playing a puzzle game to fit every piece correctly so the first enemies don't destroy your defenses and you're crippled for the rest of the mission. That said, the game is simple yet pretty well executed. There is variety of buildings, artifacts (run perks) are balanced and creative and factions quirks are cool to play with. I hope this game keeps getting updated for some time and more cool stuff added.

The game is fun, it's not expensive, and you can put it down between any of the missions and it'll save your progress for you to continue later. What's not to like about a great way to spend a spare half hour like this is? Two thumbs up.

A great little tower defence. It would add a lot more replayability if you added these two new game mode: 1. Have a random mode that gives you random starting buildings. Probably need some system for making sure the player doesn't get completely screwed: You always get the generator, one random cheap building, others random from all the rest or something. 2. Have a mode where the player can choose which buildings they start with from all the buildings in the game so they can try out different loadouts.
