Storyteller is a fun and cute puzzle game with a twist : the pieces have their own personalities. The goal is to build stories that fit the prompts you're given, but it might not be as straightforward as you think. Marrying the queen and the knight doesn't sound difficult when you have "queen", "knight" and "wedding", right ? Well it turns out the queen doesn't love the knight, so first you have to create a scenario for her to fall in love ! The game is full of little details like that, which make you care about the characters. For instance, of the two young maidens, only one is happy to murder people who anger her, while the other is more prone to killing herself, so they fit different kinds of stories. (And sometimes you're not given the one that would make the story easier to tell !) These limitations are what make the game interesting in my opinion. It's short, but well executed. There are achievements that require you to create some very elaborate scenarios, but I found them too obscure to be really engaging. They can make you discover fun interactions you hadn't seen yet, but I think they're mostly there to make the game artificially longer. That said, all in all a very good game if you have a few hours to spare and enjoy puzzles ! (Steam considers I played 0,3 hours because I played offline, but in reality it took me about 4 hours.)
Rather funny, short and sweet puzzle game that gives you multiple challenges to fill out by arranging characters in specific cards to fit within the (all quite imaginative) story prompt you're given. While the "main" run itself is already cool to tackle, the spins of later game and trying to figure out how to collect all the stamps prolongs the time you spend playing around with the stories. Incredibly unique and cute art style, even when you're beheading people or poisoning them. Every story has a well made soundtrack to go along. I ended up having the narrator, well, narrate everything because the little voice acting available definitely adds to the enjoyment of the game. It was a bit of the expensive side on my currency for a relatively short game, but given how well-made and creative everything was, I'd say it was worth paying full price.
