Good, but not great. It’s a first-person horror game with some stealth and action elements. There’s crafting, and you can shape your character with a modest selection of skills and perks, which is a nice touch. The Lovecraftian atmosphere works to a certain degree, but in terms of horror, it didn’t fully resonate with me. The story is decent, and the voice acting is fine. The visuals are good overall, but performance dips make me wonder if something less demanding than UE5 would have been a better fit for the game’s scope. Performance can be frustrating at times. There are also a few bugs here and there, though nothing game-breaking. Overall, I’d still recommend giving it a try. There aren’t that many decent Lovecraftian games out there to skip a solid one.

Truly Lovecraftian, and not a run and hide simulator. More like Alien Isolation or Resident Evil Biohazard. I kept getting surprised by intelligent game design and great atmosphere. looking forward to the full release.

I really love the atmosphere, however it took me a hour or two to get hooked into it. Story is okay, nothing particularly original, but very serviceable to eldritch horror lore. Graphics is pretty, however the game needs better optimization since like most other UE5 games it suffers from being made in that engine - which is slightly a shame since I think the same artstyle could be achieved in less HW demanding engines. I am still not at the end of public beta, the reason being that the game starts losing its pace and gets repetitive - IF DEVS ARE READING THIS, PLEASE ADD MORE VARIETY OF ENEMIES AND SOME GAMEPLAY MECHANICS - THE EXPERIENCE GETS REALLY "STIFF" LATER IN GAME.

The game is intriguing. I both like and dislike playing it. While there are many things to like, there are many things to dislike. So far my biggest gripe is with the combat. It's not difficult. But it's unnecessarily frustrating. Melee weapons have an EXTREMELY short and visually deceptive range regardless of which you use so the most effective method is to quite literally kiss every enemy as you swing and make sure you keep them in your cross-hairs or you will miss even with a sledgehammer. Enemies have a longer ranger than their attacks portray so you will take damage in situations where you can basically see them swing or bite at the air in front of you. Stamina is more of a nuisance because enemies are significantly more resilient compared to you (the first enemy can kill you by biting your leg 3 times). Every attack drains stamina. If you run out of stamina you can't attack, block, or run and you will move slower until you recover. Just about every enemy kills you in 2-3 hits and you run out of stamina in about 1 to probably 5 swings depending on your weapon. So I pretty much decide to clothesline every enemy with whatever I have until they die. It looks comedic. But it's certainly not engaging. Sanity feels more like a gimmick because it ran down so fast that it's existence felt more like a Sonic drowning timer which resulted in me sprinting through sanity draining sections. Enemies just bite chunks out of sanity with certain attacks. I never got to zero sanity so I don't know what happens but I can take a pretty good guess. It's basically as fragile as your health and stamina. The firearms are fun to use. But as you might guess, ammo is extremely scarce. You can craft it, but the cost + output is painfully low especially when you consider the tetris inventory and low stack count. One last thing for now. Why the ♥♥♥♥ does the protagonist need to find a recipe to put alcohol on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bandage to sterilize it?? He's been to War among numerous things. A recipe for making a salve from a mysterious plant makes sense. But are you serious??? An alcohol soaked bandage was an enigma? Am I remembering correctly? TLDR Concept neat. Hindered by tedium.

Pretty good. Early access about 4-6 hours. Story pacing and game flow done well. I got addicted to it and got bummed when the game stopped and said "thanks for playing early access, the end for now." Framerate can get terrible, hope that gets better. Guns are fine, but I'm not sure if melee is ironed out yet. Good for an indie game though. Think there are only two enemy type right now. Well done, keep at it!
