A 'lets play/stream' first look: https://youtu.be/Nnh8JRN2QBo ======================================== Not a bad little sub/metro sim. 3 lines, 4 trains (3 really...) and 2 maps for $30 isn't a bad deal imo. Far better deal than their first Hamburg SubwaySim release although it still seems to me like the map on Hamburg as well as the trains are a bit better fidelity wise than the Berlin stuff. The sounds are nice, from the trac motors to the flange rub on tight curves. Doors, announcements etc - all pretty nice The physics feel ok as well, each unit has its own feel and style to drive, my fav being the older A3L92 The models look nice just a bit plastic-y over all which seems to be the overall theme of the game sadly. All very bright and bad usage of flares/reflection. The world lighting could be tweaked. Too washed out. The world assets can look great immediate trackside while most of it seems extremely low res with poor textures featuring plenty of pop-in The performance is not great, not terrible either but could be improved first and foremost. (my specs: 4070ti 12gb vram/5800x/65gb/ssd) even with settings on med it still experiences bad framerate in spots. Some areas are totally fine and smooth. It's def CPU intensive rather than GPU and likely means the Ai/Simulation is the problem Please dont turn this into a TSW situation with releases ev year - just do addons/lines/train PLEASE Theres plenty of playability here with straight timetable runs (which uniquely include random events) scenarios, sandbox etc SubwaySim 2 is serviceable but could absolutely be optimized **7/10**

I've been waiting this game since it has been first announced, I really enjoyed the first version of the game which was focused on the Hamburg Subway, There's a difference in the physics between the new version of the Hamburg Subway of the train from this new edition which i've not been used to yet. It seems to be more realistic in the new version when it comes to breaking. I will definitely have to be more careful. I really enjoy the addition of the Berlin Subway adding two rolling stocks. It adds some diversity of gameplay, and there it also add new services plus scenarios to play and it really make the gameplay more diverse. The developers seems to be pretty reactive when it comes to bugfix (e.g: the HK horn was not working and was fixed en less than 2 days) and that's something I like when a game is released without early access (none that I know at least). The graphisms are pretty great, better than the first edition, and I really like the dynamic weather! There is performance issues where the game doesn't seem to use the GPU or not even a quarter of its ressources, I played a bit with a .ini files in AppData and I could get more fps as I got an RTX 4080 with a 11th gen Intel core I9 and 32 Gb of ram. But I believe it's already being taken into account so I'm pretty sure it's the main focus for the next batch of bug fixes. I found a few typo in English locales, I believe it was trying to say like "Morning, {player name}" but it seems like there's a few letters missing in the "Morning" word. That would be a good idea to double check the locales when there will be time for it. I did not take a look at the French translations so I can't say for this one. There's also a few settings names that can be a bit confusing (but it can be me not understanding right), as an exemple, I was not able to understand the "Snap-in intensity" setting while playing the HK rolling stock, I did not know if I needed to incread or not,.. Is it like the Snap-in strength ? I did not notice much difference when the cursor was to the minimum and when it was at the maximum, maybe it's just me, as I'm used to TSW rollingstock snap-in stregth which is stronger so it's better to place the throttle on the right position. But when I play in this game, and I have to get to the max breaking (just before the emergency breaking) it was too easy to actually activate the emergerncy break by accident :/ I also found some UI/UX parts a bit confusing, normally, when selecting a list item, you need to click on it then use a key or a button to do a specitic action, In the game it's different: when you manage your saves or when you want select which station you want to depart from, the selection is based on hover and can be confusing and bring the user to do an action they did not want to do. The worst one being the save management where if you have to delete a few saves to keep only one, you must be careful to not hover the one you want to keep to be sure to not delete it by accident. That is things that could have been done and double check before being fully released, but with all the features this gameoffers and the reactivity of the developers, I'm sure it'll be fixed really soon, so it shouldn't be a problem. To conclude, I'd still recommend that game as fixes seems to come pretty fast. The only down side would be that it would've been better to postpone the release date to do additionnal tests as some of the bugs found in the game at its release date were totally avoidable, really easy to reproduce and easily fixable. That being said, congratulations to the dev team for being reactive, keep up the good work! I love this game already and I can't wait to see future updates and new features in this game!

Welcome to my review. I bought this the minute it was released and have almost 10 hours (at time of writing) on it already. It worked straight away with no lag/stutters at any point apart from when I initially changed my settings and I'm sure we will all appreciate the warning that comes up when the settings have been changed too. I have a multitude of achievements already and many more to gain in the future. It seems there is a possibility to add another one or two other routes (U2 or U4?) in the future (a little foundation is in the game already) to add to the immersion. My bullet points: Good :- - Graphics engine worked flawlessly for first startup (RTX3060 12GB) - Immersive timetables & scenarios - Highly detailed trains and routes - Shift patterns are done on a one round trip basis with the possibility to continue on if you want to - Button guides even when you have played a little while just in case - Track plan available to see where you are Bad -: - Slightly repetitive but still fun (Maybe not so bad) - Inability to change points to go sightseeing (If it is available, I haven't found it at time of writing) Overall conclusion: I will give this a 100% recommendation and I wholeheartedly say, "well done" to the developer for such a fantastic release and I am looking forward to any future updates.

This is far the best Subway (metro) Simulator. The optimalization is very good, i can play with 30-40 fps on medium settings with my pc, that isn't even meeting with the minimum requirements. The graphics are very good too, i can only imagine what it looks like on epic settings. The immersion is just insane, i could drive all day back and forth, because it just feels right, the physics the sounds the attention to detail, and the best in my opinion are the platform mirrors, which render in real time. I bought the game because i had the original SubwaySim Hamburg and that way it's way cheaper only 16 euros (I will buy it on PS5 to get the full experience). So to sum it up i think it's a really good Simulation game, you should definitely try it out!
