Pick it up on sale if you are curious. Not near as bad as people say. I played mostly on ps5 and picked it up again on Steam for 5 dollars. Its fun and I'm not mad.

Extremely repetitive, in terms of gameplay, missions, and loot, even the battlepass is bad. Everything about it just felt so empty like it's still in Beta. The game is terrible and the hate it gets is justified, maybe if it got released in 2016 it would have done numbers. Is it bad? Yes. Did I still enjoy it? Yes lmfao

I grabbed the Digital Deluxe Edition for like 5 bucks, and honestly, for that price it’s pretty fun especially with a friend or a couple of friends. The story’s pretty cliché, but I still enjoyed it. If I’d paid 10–15 bucks, I wouldn’t have been mad. As long as you don’t take it too seriously and just play it for fun, it’s actually pretty enjoyable and not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

Despite the justifiable hate upon release. Not a bad game for $6. Fun game loop and cool Easter eggs for DC fans.

Superman’s melting people, The Flash is zipping around like a nightmare, and Batman—well, let’s just say he’s not in the mood for brooding anymore. Who’s going to stop them? The Avengers? Wrong universe. Enter the Suicide Squad, a gang of lovable criminals who are definitely not qualified for this job, but thanks to Amanda Waller and her signature brand of "do it or die" motivation (hello, brain bombs!), they don’t have much of a choice. Welcome to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the latest from Rocksteady Studios, the masterminds behind the Batman: Arkham series. But this ain't Gotham, and this ain't a Batman game—this is a full-blown, chaotic, open-world, co-op shooter where the villains are the heroes (kinda), and everything you know about DC is turned on its head. About This Game Storyline Metropolis is in chaos, and for once, it's not because of Lex Luthor. Brainiac, the intergalactic overlord with a thing for collecting planets, has taken over the city—and, oh yeah, he’s brainwashed the Justice League while he’s at it. The world’s most powerful heroes, who were supposed to protect mankind, are now its biggest threat. Enter Task Force X, better known as the Suicide Squad, a ragtag crew of criminals who’d much rather be anywhere else but are stuck on a suicide mission, thanks to Amanda Waller and her signature head-exploding microchips. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark are now humanity’s last hope (yikes), and their job? Take down the very heroes they’ve spent their lives either running from or fanboying over. No pressure. Visuals & Audio Visually, the game is a treat. Metropolis is vibrant and detailed, contrasting the darker tones of the Arkham series. Character models are meticulously crafted, capturing the essence of each anti-hero. The animations, especially during combat and traversal, are fluid and satisfying. The only backdraw is that Harley doesn’t look like the Harley you see in the movies. They did her dirty, in my opinion at least. On the audio front, the voice acting is top-notch, bringing personality to the squad members. The soundtrack complements the action, with dynamic scores that ramp up during intense moments and mellow out during exploration. Pros [*] Diverse Character Playstyles: Each squad member feels distinct, encouraging players to experiment with different approaches. [*] Engaging Storyline: A fresh narrative that offers a unique perspective on the DC universe. [*] Stunning Visuals: Metropolis is beautifully rendered, and character designs are impressive. [*] Co-op Fun: Playing with friends enhances the experience, adding layers of strategy and camaraderie. Cons [*] Repetitive Mission Design: Some missions feel formulaic, leading to a sense of déjà vu. [*] Loot Grind: The gear system can feel grindy, especially for those seeking top-tier equipment. [*] Live-Service Elements: The game's live-service model has been a point of contention, with some players feeling it detracts from the overall experience. Conclusion Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an ambitious title that offers a fresh take on the superhero genre. While it has its flaws, particularly in mission variety and live-service integration, the game's strengths in character design, storytelling, and cooperative gameplay make it worth a shot. Whether you're a DC fan or just looking for a new action-adventure to dive into, assembling the squad for this mission might just be the chaotic fun you're seeking. NOTE: Honestly speaking, I would never pay the full price for this game as it's only fun if you play co-op with friends. But it has gone on a sale of 95% off on Steam which is a steal. I'd surely wait for a similar sale before copping it!
