Very cute little retro pixel art style game perfect for the Steam Deck. There are 6 stages total and they are split up between puzzle section and boss section. During the puzzle section, you have to blast aliens to clear a path. The boss sections play out as your typical bullet hell shooter and can be quite the challenge. You should get a good few hours of fun out of this cute little game. Worth noting however, if you plan on getting all achievements, they seem to only be properly tracked and unlocked on Windows. I beat the game and did everything including boss rush on the Steam Deck, but nothing unlocked. So, I installed it on my Windows desktop, then used steam input to configure turbo mode on the shoot button. This helped me beat the whole game again and get all achievements in less than an hour.

The dev encouraged players who completed the game to leave a review, so I will! :3 This was a nice little game. A mix between shmup and color matching to proceed, with a small collect-a-thon in collecting the emeralds and ship upgrades from the distinctly but only-so-slightly different-looking aliens you have to destroy to get them, and bullet hell boss challenges at every stage's end that might greatly challenge those who aren't too familiar with the shmup genre. I think one thing that really doesn't get enough love in video game reviews anymore these days, is sound design. I liked the player ship pilot's little quips during the stages per situational circumstance, and boy-oh-boy, this has to be said: The music here is AMAZING! It's like someone here who developed this game is WELL-schooled in what makes GOOD retro-stylized video game music, and it shows. The title screen theme, the "Jungle Planet" theme, and the "Barren Planet" theme, are three themes that particularly stand out. I loved the rest as well. Not enough games have "jingles" for when you triumph or lose, a la classic Metal Gear Solid. Big ups to these devs for showing every aspiring chip and retro-stylized musician how it's done! πŸ‘ How MUCH would I recommend this game to others? (Since Steam recommendations are a flat yes or no). That depends on how much you love simplistic, classic-style shmups. It has a very basic "upgrade system." Just collect three types of upgrades: Health, Attack, and Speed, and apply them to unlockable ships, which all have specific specialties in what they defend against. Make your way through large walls of aliens in auto-scrolling stages without restricting your own progress. Simple "Lose and start over" flow, but the stages are very, very short. It's a hyper-challenging yet casual ride that lasts a short while or longer depending on your skill level and intuition. I'm usually hesitant to give games I really like less than a solid rating of 10 (No game is perfect), but suffice to say, pick this one up if you're in the market for a miniature set of "puzzle shmup" challenges. It's no "Star of Providence" (formerly called "Monolith: Relics of the Past"), but grab it on sale. Full price if you want to support the devs. This is a genuinely good game, free of bugs, with good production quality. Hats off to you, DYA Games. This developer makes good games. πŸ—Ώ

Fun little puzzle shmup, to pass time with in short burst. Nice little Steam Deck experience. Not much else to say beyond that. I got it for $1. So its fun for what it is.

You don't have to make "much better games" (as mentioned in the end credits). This shmup is on point, great graphics and unique puzzle twist. Hard, but doable stages - even for a moderate skill level. Devs on my radar now!
