This game is really great arcade style rally racing fun. While i was iffy myself about the isometric 3D style view, it quickly surprised me as the camera behaves perfectly the way you want it to and never gets wonky at all. The art style is great and has several visual filters like CRT, contrast enhancement, pencil, oil painting, and more and even includes a photo mode. The game ranges from somewhat easy depending on your car and upgrades, to very challenging even despite this but never feels cheap or obnoxious but rather challenges you to learn and improve your times. The car list is impressive and racing/automotive fans will be delighted at the selections available, and even allows you to rename your car in game, or via a text file mod, for custom/accurate names. If you enjoy the simple pleasures of arcade style racing and/or a racing/car fan I highly recommended you pick up this little gem.
I also own the author's two previous games, Super Woden GP I and II, and my first impression after 3 hours is that this is the best game so far. UPDATE: I confirm this impression after 26h and 100% achievements. When you compare the menu, sounds, and graphics, at first it seems like there is not much progress compared to previous titles on the technical level, but I still love this game because: * Rally fits the steering model of the series perfectly, it's fun to drive * the tracks are really good: they do not feel like just sequences of the same pre-made left,right,medium-left curves but like real, organic tracks. They have very nice flow and some interesting height differences, jumps, etc. Very well done! There is a great combination of classic rally stages, some head 2 head, and gymkhana, but clear emphasis on rally stages. * This is the perfect game to play when I need a break from Assetto Corsa Rally * I love Rally
This game is fun i like it. The progression is good, the changes to the car feel right when on track. Need some longer races. This game is like the tiktok of racing games. I can do a 3 race rally championship in 10 minutes. Could have an endurance mode where all tracks are 3 laps or something. Otherwise pretty fun game.
I have never done a positive review for a game I had to refund and I have never refunded a game on steam that I LOVED playing. The gameplay is fantastic, controls are smooth, art design is dope, the levels seem well designed and its fun as hell to play. It reminds me of a arcadey Indie version of Dirt Rally series. The game also runs well on the Steam Deck. But... I get a headache when I play this game, both on my desktop and my Steam Deck. I have tried 3 different days and same thing. It is something with the backgrounds maybe, I don't fully know. This has only happened to me with one other game in the past, I really hate to have to refund this but I can't play anymore of it. So I will give it a Positive review and tell most my friends to check it out. Part of me wishes this game sucked so getting a headache while playing it didn't matter but this game is awesome and it sucks I won't be playing it anymore. Two Big Thumbs up for this game, just for me I get headaches while on it. I tried playing other games after playing this and it was fine, headache went away, but as soon as I play this again, towards the end of the first race I end upgetting a headache. Sorry devs, I wish I could play this, good luck with the game and I am very jealous I can't play it, I was also looking forward to playing it with my nieces and nephews when they came over, but I can't if I have a headache every time I play it. Pick it up if you want a good racer that has a mix of sim and arcade racing, with a slight edge to more arcadey style, but with wonderful gameplay and controls.
