Survive the Nights — My Honest Thoughts (Played ~10 hours) Alright, so I’ve been playing Survive the Nights with a couple of friends over the past few weeks, and I gotta say — this game surprised me in a good way. It’s not your typical zombie survival game. You don’t just run around looting and blasting zombies all day. You actually have to think. You’ve got to eat, drink, sleep, manage your mental health (yes, that’s a thing), and fix up places to survive the night — because that’s when things get really bad. Zombies are way more aggressive after dark. What I love most is how realistic everything feels. You can’t just slap a plank on a window and call it safe. You need nails, tools, and time. You need fuel for generators, batteries for lights, and traps for defense. You even have to clean your guns or they jam. Playing solo is intense, but if you’ve got a group of friends, this game becomes a whole new experience. We’ve spent nights fortifying a house, rationing food, and taking shifts to keep watch. Super immersive. That said, it’s still early access, so yeah — there are bugs. The zombies can be janky at times, and not everything is polished. It’s not the prettiest game either. But if you’re okay with that and enjoy slow-burn, hardcore survival, there’s a lot to love here. Pros: - Super immersive survival mechanics - Nighttime tension is legit - Fortifying buildings feels meaningful - Great in co-op with friends Cons: – Still a bit rough (bugs, clunky UI) – Steep learning curve – Visuals are average Final Verdict: If you’re into deep survival games that focus on realism and atmosphere over run-and-gun action, Survive the Nights is 100% worth checking out. Just be ready to die a few times while learning the ropes. 😅

This game is honestly amazing, especially for the price. Even more so considering that I got it on sale for a mere eight dollars. I was absolutely fascinated with this game back when its reveal trailer dropped years ago, things went so slowly that I eventually forgot about the game and assumed the project was dead and abandoned. My attention was brought back to the title when my boy Vlad from The Outer Middle Show did a series on it when it received a bit of a 2.0 sort of update. It looked great but still too early for me to bother. Once again, I then forgot it existed and assumed it was abandoned. Then Steam came along with the Zombies VS Vampires sale and boy was I wrong. The game is very much still in development and has come a crazy long way from where it started. It has some of the coolest and most immersive mechanics I've seen in a survival game. Chopped a bunch of wood and gotta bring it home? Normally you'd just pack it in your inventory or an invisible one on your vehicle and call it a day. Sure, you can use your inventory, or you can save a ton of space by placing the actual logs in the bed of your pickup truck. Wanna organize your guns but don't wanna waste the slots of storage in containers? Build a shelf and place the actual guns on the shelves however you like, maybe rack them on a pegboard instead. Cooking food over a barrel fire? Put the actual meat or cans on top of the grill you've got hanging over it. Found an RV? Yeah you can drive it like any other car but you can also walk around in the back and live out of it. If you never want to establish an actual base you could just live out of a camper the entire playthrough. Hunting is the closest to feeling and looking like actual hunting I've seen in a survival game which is something you'd think would be standard, but its not. This didn't stop Survive The Nights from going the extra mile however. Electricity and breakers are an actual thing you interact with and manage. You actually barricade windows in buildings and place locks on doors. Guns need cleaned and cars need repaired. The most beautiful part of this game is the option to genuinely play however you want. You can change the settings and rules of your world to whatever you like, share them as a workshop mod, or download somebody else's setup. Experiences tailored toward a very vanilla but more relaxed and newb friendly version, one that makes the game COD zombies, or one that tries to emulate the feel and rules of The Walking Dead. You can play however you want. Don't let the subscription mentioned in some reviews scare or concern you. Its a completely optional thing that only provides some cosmetics and is done as a way to support the small indie studio making the game, if you so choose. Otherwise you can just buy skins themselves or do none of the above, only spending the very little money required to buy the game itself. I think this is perfectly fine, its exactly like a patreon, kickstarter, or any other donation system. Its no different. Overall this game is fantastic for solo players or groups, insanely well polished and fleshed out.

Got this game on sale for $9 Got to say the game is pretty fun to play and would honestly say its one of the decent zombie games out there. Don't get me wrong it need more updates and a lot more content but I could see this game becoming something bigger just needs some work. I love the RV! One last thing dear Devs please make it so headshots with gun is one shot kill and also make it so the zombie can bite you which will infect you also make it so the zombies can fight back better and please fix the bug where if you kill a zombie with gun it respawns near or behind you.

Very fun so far! Old School Zombie vibes deluxe! No "special" zombies, just pure Day/dawn/Night of the Living Dead feel - and i'm all for it! - BUT..... Online required.. Yea, you can technically play it solo but.. not really. And the online servers for me is rarely under 300 ping. Playing on Pub Server a lot of the zombies "dies" visually, then you start to take damage and realize it did in fact not die, and is suddently popping up again - often inside you since you were going for the potential loot. This is so common that in the end I expected them to do it. Thumbs up for the game itself - it's Great! - but I will most likely not play it anymore - at least not until I can actually play it alone - or a server pops up with a fair ping (Solo play is always failing to connect and yea, it's probably a firewall thing but i'm not going to mess with that just to play a Solo experience..)

Similar to 7 Days To Die, but better IMO. I definitely recommend. Especially if you like looter shooters.
