It is sad to see, that Ubisoft has abandoned this game shortly after it´s release. It has a pretty solid base. I really enjoyed testing out all the operators with their different loadouts. Completing this game to 100% + all achievements made a lot of fun. Something i can´t say to many other games I have played in my life.
Rainbow Six Extraction is a tactical co-op shooter that takes the operators from Rainbow Six Siege and puts them into a PvE alien outbreak setting. Instead of fighting other players, you and your team enter containment zones, complete objectives, fight alien enemies called Archaeans, and try to extract safely. The game is slower and more tactical than most zombie or alien shooters, which makes teamwork very important. One of the best parts of Rainbow Six Extraction is the operator system. Each operator has different abilities, weapons, and roles, so choosing the right team can make missions much easier. The game rewards stealth, communication, and careful planning instead of just running in and shooting everything. Completing objectives quietly, saving teammates, and escaping with everyone alive feels satisfying. The risk system also makes the game more interesting. If an operator gets taken down and left behind, they become unavailable until you rescue them in a later mission. This adds pressure because mistakes actually matter, and it makes extraction feel more intense. The game also has a good amount of progression through operator leveling, upgrades, difficulty settings, and different mission types. However, Rainbow Six Extraction can get repetitive over time. Many missions follow the same pattern of entering a zone, completing a few objectives, fighting enemies, and extracting. It is also much better with friends than with random teammates because coordination matters a lot. Some players may also feel disappointed if they expected something closer to Rainbow Six Siege’s PvP style. Overall, Rainbow Six Extraction is a solid co-op tactical shooter with good teamwork, tense missions, and a unique risk system. It is not for everyone, but it is fun if you enjoy slower, strategy-focused PvE games with friends. Rating: 7.5/10
