Tales of Glory VR is basically Mount & Blade (the OG 2008 one) but in VR, and honestly… that’s exactly what I wanted. Graphically and mechanically it feels very close to the original, for better and worse. If you’ve played old-school Mount & Blade, you’ll immediately recognize the jank, the systems, and the overall vibe. Putting it in VR gives it this weird mix of nostalgia and freshness. It genuinely feels like playing Mount & Blade for the first time again as a kid, just with motion controls and depth instead of a mouse and keyboard. It’s familiar, but also brand new at the same time. Some people might be underwhelmed by how clunky it can feel, but personally I think that’s part of the charm. The stiffness and awkwardness actually make it feel more like the original Mount & Blade, just translated into VR instead of being overly modernized. I picked this up during the Steam winter/Christmas sale at 75% off, and at that price it was absolutely worth it for me. Whether it’s worth full price is going to depend on the person, but I was comfortable buying it on sale. Overall, for what I paid, I had a lot of fun and feel like I got my money’s worth. I’d definitely recommend grabbing it on sale, especially since the original Mount & Blade is basically abandonware at this point. Having that experience in VR adds a ton of value in my opinion. Hello! Giant fan of the game, best VR physics I have ever come across. I'm just wondering as a massive fan of many years will there be any new content or updates for this first tales of glory specifically? I still play this game often and would love any new things for it at all! I know it has been out a long time and you have new and other projects to take up your time, but I am still always hopeful!

I cannot believe nobody in the reviews has mentioned this as a comparison. This game at its core is Mount & Blade Warband in VR. I had been seeing this game in my recommended but ignored it until now, if I had known how similar it was to the Mount & Blade series, i would have bought this game months ago.

This game is not quite like anything I've ever played. I think it's an overlooked diamond in a world where everyone talks about B&S and Boneworks and Hard Bullet but this is maybe of a similar style but just so much less janky, more exciting, less sandbox, it has a point. You have hundreds of people fighting at the same time, you feel a cameraderie to your NPC brothers and the battles are exciting and intense. It's absolutely great.

I love this game and am wondering how I can donate money to provide updates. I understand its a past project but the game has so much potential. Its fun to play and I appreciate all the weapons you can find. Adding new weapons, better timing on special weapons explosive powers, smoother control of army or even pre game army commands to protect and or attack.
