I love the game, Blade and Sorcery will always be king. But I like to come here when I need a different kind of combat. I like blade and sorcery for the interactions, but this game. I will role play the ♥♥♥♥ out of shadow of war and mordor in this. The mods exist, but not many. The devs have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us over. I don't need a lot added, just some better stabbing physics and new weapons. New maps and enemies would be awesome. But as of the past couple of years, this game is just left for dead. I'd be surprised if the devs are still even aware of this game. sad to see this game forgotten

On the same level as Blade and Sorcery, this game is better in some aspects but worse in others, if you have´played BnS and you liked it, check out this game.

Combat is fun and engageing though i wish it had something like BnS`s Crystal Hunt mode If you like Arena stuff and Gorn is a little too cartoony for you this is a good substitute for Arena Combat

I enjoyed this a lot more than I initially thought I would. Coming from Blade and Sorcery, the necessary weapon diversity is much better as you need a weapon that can deal with both unarmored and armored opponents in any given level, as well as a way to deal with ranged opponents. The game feels great, the sound is great, blades whoosh around you, and the sound of a blade hitting your shield is very tactile. The stabbing and cutting feels very natural and somewhat realistic. Overall, I think this is a superior unmodded experience compared to Blade and Sorcery. Now we gotta move onto the bad. The game has a boss with unblockable attacks. For me, in any fighting sim, if the boss breaks through your block even though your shield was there, it breaks the immersion and signals to me that the devs just don't really have another way to make the game difficult other than ignoring a central part of the combat system. This, I imagine, isn't a deal for most people, so don't let this stop you. I am currently using the kite shield with the bastard sword and morgenstern. For me, armor is an annoyance. I feel like almost every fight, I'm knocking back most enemies while bashing the head of an armored zombie with my mace until his armor breaks and his head explodes. Maybe I'm just not creative enough to deal with armor well enough, and it is kinda funny to just bash some dude in the head with a heavy metal ball on the end of a stick, but still worth mentioning here. Overall, though, this game is great. The combat is simple and still retains the ability to be difficult. The weapon variety is vast, and there is no shortage of great things to say about the game.
