a lot of people are complaining about the art or the difficulty of the game being too hard / too easy. it's an auto battler. those familiar with auto chess, TFT and the many games like it will find it familiar here. my biggest point of praise for this game is the single player mode being incredibly robust and fleshed out compared to any other auto battler. in single player there's no clock so you can play while you have "other obligations" which i really appreciate. my biggest complaint is the balance. this game has a lot of units and traits or even pickable characters that are just leaps and bounds worse than some of the strongest things here. i would like a 5-10% tap downward on the obvious OP offenders and like a 20-30% buff on what's underwhelming. i am really enjoying this game so far!

Interesting concept, but once you have a grasp of what works, the game feels too easy. I was stuck with the initial character for a few runs. But once I worked out a winning strategy, i pretty much applied the same thing over and over for the different characters, winning most runs first try. Some characters are over powered compared to others and by and large, the different abilities don't seem to matter much though a few have interesting perks. I've also been able to win with a variety of troop traits, but much of the differences don't matter and it's rare that I manage to get the 2nd tier traits. Troop selection beyond the initial troops and traits becomes fairly tactical. Good bit of fun if you get it on sale but for the normal price, you can get better games.
