THIS is what a Tekken game truly is. It's perfect. There was definitely some rough patches after season 2 but after playing Tekken 8 for these last two years I can truly say that when this game was at it's lowest. It was still FAR superior than Tekken 8. We truly did not know what we had until we had Tekken 8.

Tekken 7 is an excellent recommendation for people who want a deep, competitive fighting game with long-term value. It delivers one of the most refined combat systems in the genre, rewarding skill, timing, and matchup knowledge without relying on gimmicks. The roster is large and diverse, offering a wide range of playstyles that appeal to both newcomers and veterans. On Steam, Tekken 7 runs smoothly on a wide range of PCs, it supports online ranked and casual play, and has an active player base that keeps matchmaking consistent. The game's strong esports presence and dedicated community also mean plenty of guides, tutorials, and replays for players who want to improve. It's story mode is more straightforward than cinematic, Tekken 7 makes up for it with tight mechanics, iconic characters, and endless replayability. For anyone looking for a serious, skill-based 3D fighter with lasing appeal, Tekken 7 remains one of the strongest choices available on Steam. The music is great and theirs even a recap option to catch you up to speed if your behind in the story's lore, it will summarize the main key things that happen in the story, but you would have to play the older games or watch a video to understand more about it, overall it's a really great game like Tekken 8, I highly recommend it.

Tekken 7: The Older, Hotter Sibling I started with Tekken 8, thinking it would be the obvious choice. It wasn’t. Between the clunky Avatar hub, bloated features, strange roster and my PC nearly passing out on medium settings, I started questioning everything. Out of curiosity (and disappointment), I picked up Tekken 7—and it just clicked. Fast, clean, no gimmicky Avatar nonsense. Akuma is here throwing fireballs like it’s Street Fighter (Love it), Lei is back doing Jackie Chan things (even if he’s DLC), and the game actually runs like it respects my hardware. UE4 > UE5 Story? Seemed to be rather interesting. Ranked? Actually playable. Only a few hours in, and it already feels like the smarter purchase.. Moral of the story: skip the shiny mess, play the classic banger. Tekken 7 > Tekken 8. Fight me.
