Tengami is a puzzle game with a very beautiful popup book design and stunning colors. The music is also a real vibe. The gameplay sees you as some nameless man walking through the landscape, without a single spoken word. A minimal but charming game for sure. I got this because of the SiIvagunner lighthouse lol, but ended up enjoying my experience. The puzzles are all very basic, save for one. You'll definitely beat this game in less than two hours. For $7, I would not recommend this at full price. But I would say that this game is definitely worth it when it's on sale for a single night of aesthetic experience.

Like many others, I was attracted to Tengami by the gorgeous art design. It is so refreshing to play a game like this as a reminder of what innovation looks like. Unfortunately, the game feels like it was deprived of its potential. It could have used more content; more diverse and challenging puzzles; more utilization and interaction with the folding paper concept; a more flushed out story for immersion and emotional ties; more traditional music to make that connection with the historical period; and, more context for understanding what was being asked of the player and why at each stage of progression. Some people also complain about the speed of the character however, the slow pace feels appropriate as the game is meant to generate a sense of calm serenity. Despite its limitations, I genuinely enjoyed the game and would recommend it to anyone looking to spend a peaceful hour or two enjoying some beautiful art and music. Thank you for making this game!

Beautiful art expression! It is not about “beating a game”, but to enjoy the graphic style, music, some nature sounds and the experience as a whole. The downside of this game is the rhythm. It should be a bit faster to move the character, so it wouldn’t be boring sometimes moving from point A to point B (even tho we got it was intentional). But the highlight of this game is surely its creativity and genius dealing with surfaces and their textures to create 3D environments. Page transitions are spectacular! I just wanted to see wolfs again :,)
