A well made game let down by the final scene. The game ran well on the Pimax Crystal Light. The mix of acted scenes and puzzles worked well, the puzzles sometimes frustrating but mostly logical, with some help from hints available. It was not at all "scary". Unfortunately the final scene was a major departure and a let down. It was very different to all previous puzzles with no explanation of what is required and a random element introduced by number selection. I gave up trying to solve it after many tries, which spoilt the game for me. So a 7 out of 10, not the 10 out of 10 I would have liked to give it.

The original 7th guest was one of the first PC CD-ROM games that I ever played in the 90's (which was technologically mind-blowing) and here we are again in VR and it was a pleasant surprise that the developers redesigned the entire game and puzzles from the ground-up for VR because many of the classic puzzles would simply not work as well in VR since some of the original release puzzle where downright annoying and even impossible (such as the microscope puzzle if you had a fast CPU at the time). Overall, a solid spooky VR puzzle game without any disturbing horror or jumpscares! I enjoyed the expanded story elements compared to the original too. Having said all that, I do have some critiques: - I found the voice acting of the main antagonist in the original game better in term of the "Mad / evil" vibes. - There should be a way to explore the house after finishing the game without starting over. It would have been nice to also retry puzzles in any room after endgame. - The last puzzle while okay, it's not even VR-specific and also not that exciting so not the best way to end the game. - There should be more spooky/interactive elements just like the original to make exploring more fun.

The 7th Guest VR has been a fun and problem free experience. I have enjoyed the puzzles, though many of them are quite simple. The world interactions and controls have been fantastic. I found only one time that something went wonky but the game sorted itself out in seconds, where an item was for a brief moment trapped in another surface. Throughout my time playing, I enjoyed the graphics, audio, and presentation quite a bit. In all, The 7th Guest VR is an easy recommendation for those that enjoy VR puzzle games. While not heavily taxing on the mind for the puzzles, the story and world is excellent and the puzzles are entertaining.

Very good. I didn't play the original, but I had a lot of fun. Even though the game has a horror theme, it’s not scary and doesn’t have jump scares. (Although the doll room gives me chills, lol.) The graphics are really nice, and I didn’t encounter any bugs like many complained about. I played on the Quest 3
