Having played all 4 of the flatscreen Room titles prior to The Room VR, I was hesitant to believe that such an experience could be faithfully translated to this medium. Not only was I wrong, but I'd argue it was even enhanced by it. The feeling of being in an escape room was amplified tenfold, and even the sequences where you use your lens to examine internal mechanisms felt like they fit right in, with the game making you shrink down and actually enter the objects yourself like Ant-Man. A brilliant expansion to the world of The Room that has actually earned a spot as my favourite in the series. More VR titles like this one would be amazing and a definite purchase from me.
Completed in only 5 hours.. I thought I was slow and it felt waaaay longer. However, this game is one of the reasons i bought a VR glass, and it was worth it. Sessions of one hour are great, not too long, not too short. And BTW, started on Windows, Finished on Linux (Meta Quest 3) If the game was VR optional, I would have finished it the week from the release as the whole Room collection is fantastic. Waiting for a new one. The VR in this game is great for wandering. Greatly detailed. The way it is implemented makes sure you don't get motion illness. It has the same play style as "The fisherman's tale"
