SO I'm not spiteful so I'm just gonna leave a good evaluation here because I know how hard it affects devs. And I mean, it was overall a nice time ! The game is pretty. The story is interesting and feels compelling, and there are some alright ideas for bossfights ! But... well that's the actual problem. Bossfights. There are virtually no enemies in the game apart from bosses, meaning the only combat you'll get in the whole game is janky at best, frustrating at worst. Some bosses you'll blow through in one try not even caring that they were there. Others will feel unjust and you'll grind on them for hours. First, a midgame boss : The Forgotten One. The boss can regenerate by eating his own attacks. There is nothing stopping him from covering the arena in said attacks while B-lining towards you like a fucking train. The attacks repels harpoons The boss covers half the arena in toxic clouds by existing. These clouds one shot you. If the boss hits you while attacking, he one shots you You have no I-frames, ever. Neither while dashing or taking damage. And, you get a hell of a knockback from everything. But the fucking cherry on the cake is the final boss The first phase surely exists, idk, only thing that killed me was the arena because there are one shot walls sprinkled around to avoid you running around the boss The second phase ? This has got to be the worst boss i've ever fought in a video game. You just wait for the boss to be vulnerable while doing wirtually NOTHING Nothing you ever picked up in your whole playthrough is useful EXCEPT for the torpedo, only weapon useful against him The walls oneshot you, meaning if you ever get struck by an attack it's up to rng if you're instantly dead You attack the boss a total of 4 times. There is NOTHING else you have to do in that whole fight except following the boss when he moves so you're not instakilled The fight is 3-4 minutes long It is, fully, wholly unfun. It's a pain to go through, and breaks the whole vibe of the game. Please devs, update that godawful fight. Fix your combat system just a bit, it's a couple nudges away from being great But right now ? My only question is : Why ?

Thoughts: It was great, holoplates had some great way of thelling the story, enviroment, art, story, bosses were all beatiful. So it was janky and somewhat unpolished and many more things, like skipping the last boss by clipping out of map was pretty funny and didn't expected it but moments like these make these smaller games really fun to play. Thanks for the game and i am glad i could have played it.

Very pretty game with interesting themes. Not too much too do outside of the bosses which are mostly fun, though very unforgiving. You will call fish slurs you never thought you would before.
