A great point&click, and an epic quest. It is also a great continuation of the story of "Chains of Satinav", but the new story is even more captivating. Sure, it's no masterpiece, but it works in every way it should, the backgrounds are gorgeous, and the world is immersive. Interestingly, the plot kind of mirrors the game I played as a kid. All and all, another good game in the collection of Daedalic's good ones.

As a more ambitious sequel to Chains of Satinav, Memoria bites off more than it can chew on occasion, but overall provides the same sense of adventuring wonder in a beautifully-painted fantasy land. The narrative tries to juggle and intertwine two separate strands: that of Geron and Nuri from the first game, and the story of princess Sadja from the distant past - unfortunately, the length of the game is roughly the same, and thus neither half gets enough attention in the end. The dramatic ending packs a punch, but it would have been even more impactful had we spent a few more hours getting to know Sadja, Bryda, and other characters. Mechanically, Memoria brings a small arsenal of spells to help with the puzzle solving, which iterates on Geron's limited abilities from the first game; the puzzles themselves remain fairly comprehensible with maybe one or two exceptions. Overall, it's a must-have for those who enjoyed the first Dark Eye point-and-click adventure, but I'd say Chains of Satinav remains a bit higher in my personal estimation.

Overall very enjoyable sequel to Chains of Satinav. The art, music, and voice acting are quite good and the story is quite fascinating. I personally have one main gripe which makes it hard for me to love it why did Nuri lose her memories? It's completely unexplained and while ultimately it doesn't really matter, it makes the ending feel arbitrary, though I did like the options for bookends for Nuri and Geron's story . I really like this flavour of fantasy and would love to see more. Big recommend from me if you like point and click adventure games.

This sequel is so much better than the predecessor in every aspect. The story was actually pretty interesting and the ending was great. There are also significantly less bugs. I guess having a decent QA is not a Daedalic thing but in this one they at least tried. The story continues where the first game left off, but it is not the main focus. It is not necessary to play the first game to properly enjoy this.
