I remember beating this game a few times back when it was on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. Was honestly one of my top favorite games during my childhood, and I didn't know that they ported it to PC until maybe 6 months or so ago. The art style and animations are amazingly brutal and violent with a 2000's emo-esque theme and tons of gore. I've heard a YouTuber describe the soundtrack to be like "a garage punk rock band", which he was making fun of, but that's honestly my taste in music. I guess one person's trash is another's treasure. Combat is pretty simple-minded and repetitive, but the enemies have a decent variety and a good amount of challenge when you get to the harder difficulties. Story isn't bad. There are a couple of things you might not understand at first, but keep in mind that this is a sequel to "The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai", which doesn't have a PC version as of right now. As long as you pay enough attention, you'll understand what's going on without playing the first game. Characters and dialogue aren't the best, but tbh, this isn't really a game that you should play if you're only playing games for the lore, as it heavily relies on the actual gameplay. All in all, still an amazing game that will always have it's own special place in my heart.

Waiting on the Dead Samurai port now. In all seriousness, this game is edgy as hell, overstimulating, and mentally exhausting to play for long periods of time. And I loved every second of it.

Man... The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile. Where do you even begin with this one. An absolute classic in the hack n' slash character action genre, this is the game that introduced me to said genres. To this day, Yuki is The coolest girl in the genre in my opinion; no notes. What an amazing concept for a character, the vampire girl with a chainsaw arm who's savage fighting style rivals that of her step brothers more focused gameplay. I used to play this back in the 360 days in high school with a friend, and we never could quite get good enough for the higher difficulties. But I'm happy to say at the time of writing this review/vent post, I'm still coming down from the high of beating the game on Samurai as Yuki. This game is such a genuine thrill when the mechanics are mastered. (The Cat Bead changes everything as Yuki) Its fast paced moment to moment gameplay is up there with the likes of Devil May Cry and other big names. It really is a shame we'll probably never get a Dishwasher 3, and maybe we're better off for it, but this game has absolutely stood the test of time and deserves every bit of praise it's given. Tl;dr - 10/10 fast paced character action game with bloody combat, brutal executions, and a healthy dose of replayability in a metriodvania-esque map that begs to be explored.
