Man... The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile. Where do you even begin with this one. An absolute classic in the hack n' slash character action genre, this is the game that introduced me to said genres. To this day, Yuki is The coolest girl in the genre in my opinion; no notes. What an amazing concept for a character, the vampire girl with a chainsaw arm who's savage fighting style rivals that of her step brothers more focused gameplay. I used to play this back in the 360 days in high school with a friend, and we never could quite get good enough for the higher difficulties. But I'm happy to say at the time of writing this review/vent post, I'm still coming down from the high of beating the game on Samurai as Yuki. This game is such a genuine thrill when the mechanics are mastered. (The Cat Bead changes everything as Yuki) Its fast paced moment to moment gameplay is up there with the likes of Devil May Cry and other big names. It really is a shame we'll probably never get a Dishwasher 3, and maybe we're better off for it, but this game has absolutely stood the test of time and deserves every bit of praise it's given. Tl;dr - 10/10 fast paced character action game with bloody combat, brutal executions, and a healthy dose of replayability in a metriodvania-esque map that begs to be explored.

Title: When Dishwashing Gets Bloody Serious Who knew that dishwashing could be so… intense? “The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile” isn’t your average kitchen chore simulator. Instead of scrubbing plates, you’re slicing through enemies like a culinary ninja on a caffeine high. The game starts with you thinking, “Oh, a dishwasher game, how quaint!” But then, BAM! You’re knee-deep in vampire guts, wielding a cleaver that’s seen more action than a chef at a 24-hour diner. The combat is so fast-paced that you’ll forget you’re supposed to be cleaning up, not creating more mess. The graphics are a delightful mix of comic book art and a horror movie marathon. It’s like someone spilled red paint all over a graphic novel and decided, “Yeah, this looks about right.” And the story? Well, let’s just say it’s as coherent as a vampire at a garlic festival. But who cares? You’re here for the carnage, not the plot. Dodging attacks feels like you’re doing the cha-cha with death itself. One moment you’re gracefully avoiding a sword, the next you’re airborne, delivering a combo that would make a martial artist weep with envy. It’s like “Dancing with the Stars,” but with more blood and fewer sequins. In conclusion, “The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile” is the perfect game for anyone who thinks doing the dishes is too mundane. Just remember to keep a mop handy – things are about to get messy!

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile is one of my favorite hack and slash games of all time. It's fast paced, gruesome, and covered in violence. The Art direction of the series has always been a favorite of mine, it influenced my direction in art. Character design is great. The Dishwasher and Yuki sums it up. Music is great too (The Solo segments especially)! Ska Studios, if you ever read this. PLEASE add Dishwasher: Dead Samurai to Steam! That would be awesome!
