This is a quick game, but it can take a few breaks if you're a wimp like me and the dread it creates stresses you out. I predicted the twist early on, I mean, it's right there in the name of the game. But overall I enjoyed it, and exploring and finding clues. I somehow missed out on a perfect game, I was sure I'd gotten all the clues but still didn't get that achievement. I had a few bugs where there were missing objects, and I was pretty bummed to see AI images used as paintings etc throughout. But beyond that, it was enjoyable.

The Last Case of John Morley is a walking simulator where you play as a private investigator investigating a murder case. The game involves exploring a large run down manor and an abandoned asylum searching for clues to solve the case. There are several very minor puzzles to solve, but most of the game invloves exploring, finding keys, revealing passwords, and being engrossed into the interesting story. The game took just over 2 hours to complete. + The voice acing is professionally done, top tier. Voices are extremely clear and well spoken. + The story is extremely well written. The ending is highly impressive. Keeps you on the edge of your seat guessing. + The environments are well made, the atmospheres are eeire enough. The game is polished, works well. + The game moves at a very brisk pace. It feels like a movie. I blast through it in one sitting. + Excellent ambient sound design. - The puzzles are a bit too "Casual" and repetitive, for those seeking a bit more in the puzzle department. A well made game. It sets out to be a walking simulator with an excellent story, and does exactly that. Overall: 8.5/10

I really liked this game. It was fun to play. Had a great storyline. It was a little shorter than I would like but over all a great detective game to play. The graphics and visual style of this game are good. I would recommend this game.

For 90% of the game, this is an enthralling, atmospheric story, reminiscent of the better Sherlock Holmes games. An absolute treat to play, easy to immerse in. I loved it. And then it abruptly ends, in possibly the most contrived and unimpressive way possible, and it feels quite soured. This might be the single most unsatisfying ending I have ever experienced in a game I was actively enjoying. I was enamored, and then I was immediately disappointed. I would still recommend the game, but I'd also caution that the ending is just very sudden and feels very forced and cheapens the overall experience. As it stands, 90% of a game being fantastic is more than most achieve, so kudos to the devs regardless of my feelings on the silliness of the ending.
