This game is good value when on special. It will run on most PCs even very old ones. It got 7.9 on Metacritic. If you like The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit you will probably like this. The game is well presented with nice artwork and fully voiced narration with different voice actors for each character; there is quite a bit of story in some parts. Each campaign is split into a number of quests with a segment of story for each, these are somewhat derivative from the books. You don't need any experience playing computer card games to play this, but you will need to complete the fairly comprehensive and lengthy tutorials to learn the game. It's a good game to get into playing computer card games as its much easier to learn and much less complex than Magic the Gathering. Gameplay gets more difficult as you progress, some players say it has a steep learning curve. There are two game difficulty levels. You can design your own deck before starting a campaign, go to https://digital.ringsdb.com/ for recommended decks. There is no game wiki, but there are Youtube tutorials and I found a good single player game guide on Steam. Some campaigns can definitely be quite difficult, and game play can feel overwhelming at first for noobs not used to this type of game. The good news is there are no card packs you need to buy to complete campaigns, so no risk of getting ripped off. I understand though there are a lot fewer cards than in Magic the Gathering, but some important cards have been added in updates. You can earn extra cards and custom card artwork as you play. I have had some problems with bugs where the game will sometimes freeze after playing the narration at the start of a quest, but importantly it hasn't crashed mid quest. Some players get bored after playing for just a few hours, but I also notice others play for hundreds of hours! I noticed some reviews say that this game is not as good as the table top version from which its loosely derived, however this digital one is also much cheaper! The game's two DLCs are included, only the sound track isn't. This game is a good buy if you want to try out a PC card game, but haven't played one before and want to try out the genre and love Tolkien's books or the movies.

10/10 game. So sad that it died before it was finished. Example: There are anti-dragon cards that you can get in galadriel’s mirror missions, but there are no dragons in the game. Also half of the playable cards are locked to story missions and not available in the deck builder. Also, the English translation of the game is criminally bad. They seriously needed to have spent more than $3.50 on the localization.

what a pleasent surprise of a game that i did not excpect. they pictures of the characters look NOT! familiar @ all but u can swap them out with alternative art so did a good part on that, the music during deckbuilding and some soundeffects do get boring pretty quickly. you have a wide barrage of option to tackle the card challanges ahead that will trigger your turbo autism to craft a nice well done deck. the rohan szenario was superb! and it overall a nice game to waste my time in. good job!

Idk what to say...only that I don't usually play card games and that I love this one! I just wish there was a better interface for the deck building section, ie being able to organise my deck into sections like ally cards, attachments and events.

Definitely one of the better card games I've played. I hope there will be new similar games with different themes. Maybe with a Games of Thrones, Star Wars or Warhammer theme?
