This is my very first Steam review (at least with comments). I was compelled to write this to counter the few negative reviews. I have thus far played all the six heroes and mastered through all the difficulty levels for one. This is an excellent game for any fans of the genre of deck-builders. I haven't (yet) played the most popular titles 'Slay the Spire' or 'Monster Train' but I can say this one is great due to its novel use of your cards as your 'life' and the simplicity of its design and execution. Thus, its easy to pick-up and play. The six different, unlockable heroes / player characters are varied, with thematic rule sets (e.g. the vampire 'bites' off cards i.e. life from the enemies) which the enemies steal from you when attacking. Depth and replayability comes from not just the six characters but mixing these with the five levels, elites and bosses, with the only limitation being the common enemies being the same (appearance row, number may vary slightly) for each level no matter which hero you play. Your runs may vary in challenge for the same hero and difficulty level due to the combination of the 'props' (items that provide special bonuses) and card types available by up-leveling, defeating elites/bosses and their random availability within the store. In my experience, while there definitely are better cards, none are OP by themselves; they may become part of an OP strategy with the right combos. In between levels, players may upgrade, buy and/or scrap cards as well as buy props for gold collected throughout your run. Overall, highly recommended: 9/10

Don't be put off by the slightly clunky looking interface and aesthetic, beneath that is a seriously good deckbuilder with some unique ideas and good flow.

I've Played a lot of rougelike deckbuilders and I have to say this is a unique one tha I'm really enjoying. You have a row with up to 4 enemies at a time. You have no health bar but inseated a Life(draw) pile and a Block(discard) pile. When an enemy attacks and does damage they instead take cards from your block pile first then your life pile second and put it under themselves. In order to get them back you have to defeat the enemy (or use some other means). If You have no cards left In your Life, Block and hand you lose. As you defeat and enemies another drops downuntil there is nothing left. As you defeat enemies you gain experience and level up earning anew crad from a choice of 3 or skipping and taking gold. Some enemies also drop relics. There are 5 floors with a shop inbetween. There is 6 different charcaters with vasly different play styles.

Probably yes, but more on neutral side. Game is abandoned and is a bit repetitive, so I do not see much of replay value. Still, basis behind it is pretty solid and while some heroes are simply better (Bugmaster, you are bit too strong), each hero has unique cards, You fight 5 waves of enemies and if you beat them, you have beaten the game. Passable 6/10, I do like card games.

It's an interesting take, and I got it for $3 on sale. The gameplay takes a little more forethought and planning than other deckbuilders, so this is a good tickle to the brain. I think if you can get it for $7 or under, it's a game worth giving a try. It's not the best out there, but it's unique in the approach and not that bad.
