The Moon Sliver Positives: + The atmosphere + The sounds and music + Acceptable lighting effects + A bit mysterious + Tiny puzzles + A tad creepy Negatives: - The text solution is not the best - No voiceover - Not the clearest storytelling - Simplistic graphics and design - Almost non-existing options or menu - Very short (over in under an hour) Conclusion: To be honest this game was a tad disappointing knowing the developers skills. David Szymanski is super talented, and playing his previous title Fingerbones, I expected something similar. Unfortunately this nowhere near as good. But dont get me wrong, its still worth a playthrough. As long as you dont expect too much, like I did. Total Score: 6/10

Cool to experience one of Dave Szymanski's first horror games. A half an hour of very solid atmosphere and a decent cast of unseen characters. No voice acting but the writing is human enough to carry it on its own. I was surprised how strong the landmarks were and how easy it was to navigate this island given how simple the graphics are and how dark the game gets towards the end. Despite not actually encountering anything, there were two moments that actually elicited dread from me which I was very impressed by. Give it a go if you're a fan of his later projects, you can still see his talent in here.

One of the simplest, but most special games I think I've ever played. It's a pretty short game, but it somehow contains a somewhat calming, melancholic and eerie atmosphere simultaneously and tells a tragic and downright disturbing tale of four people who inhabited this island. We explore the island ourselves and piece together a story along the way about the inhabitants of the island. I don't wanna spoil anything but it is a story of love, tears, betrayal and guilt gradually unveiled to us as we traverse the island and delve deeper within. As I mentioned before, visually it is incredibly simple, but I do think that adds greatly to the eerie vibe and tone, especially when you make your way through the game, venturing further into the depths that await you on this journey. It does tend to get quite spooky. However, I don't think it is ever really made clear who we, the player, actually are. Maybe we are the monster. But that's just a theory, A GA- I think I will definitely start giving smaller and obscurer games like this a try. Thanks to this.

Short game with an pretty story. Would've liked if it was a little longer, but it was interesting nonetheless. Worth the dollar I paid for it C:

I have a feeling that the vast majority of people who tossed this game to the wayside because they considered it a "walking simulator" weren't actually paying attention to it. Yes, you do a lot of walking with the extent of the gameplay being the clues you read as you play, but that was kind of the point. The game took me a little less than an hour to complete, so I won't spoil the ending and recommend playing for yourself, but it is explained at the very end why you did nothing but walk around. It's a pretty alright narrative-driven experience. Szymanski almost always delivers, and that rings true even with his older games.
