This was probably the most beautiful indie game I've ever played, and I hope to see more of this style. In regards to the story, I found it very thought provoking to be the one to pass judgement, and I do wish there was an option not to. I personally forgave Mark, as he's a child and has an entire life ahead of him. Condemned the police chief, and the firefighter. They were adults who could have chosen to do the right thing. The prisoner was saved as there was no proof that he shot the officers to me, I saved the foreman as he didn't deserve to die for being a paranoid arsehole, and I let the woman in the van die for leaving everyone else that she lied to about saving to die. It definitely sucks that finding these people guilty leads to bad endings , and I don't particularly agree with it, but if we're trying to teach forgiveness here, then I see what the story writer was going for. I wish there was a way to adjust volume for different aspects of the game, as oftentimes the dialogue was way too quiet even at max volume. I also would have liked to adjust the brightness following the beginning prompt. And I also agree with a previous reviewer, that some of the situations don't entirely make sense in terms of darkness; in the beginning, I feel like you have to be a lot more cautious traversing around compared to later game. There was some inconsistency there - every dark space should be lethal if that's part of the point of the story, not selective areas. Maybe this was an oversight. Also, maybe this is just me not being used to this genre of game, but I would not have been able to play without a guide... I do wish there was more online chatter about Those Who Remain, but I would not have been able to play without dying hundreds of times if I didn't have assistance, and that was a tad irking.

WOW! This game took me on a ride. I think the thing I loved the most was alternating between worlds in order to get somewhere. It definitely had Bioshock 1 vibes. Props to the writers because they kept me engaged. I would love a breakdown of why all Forgive and Condemn choices lead to the outcomes... This game will stick with me awhile.

Pretty good game. Had some decent scares and stressful moments, got me quite a few times. Interesting story. Give it a try if you're curious.

Solid survival horror with a creepy vibe and decent puzzles. The atmosphere is spot-on, but the controls are a bit clunky, and some enemies are way too punishing. Worth a shot, but don’t expect perfection.

The game itself is simple, a first-person adventure where you go from area to area trying to solve small puzzles. There are some threats that you need to avoid, most of the times around the area where you're stuck. The story is engaging and keeps you wanting to know more, although it is a bit predictable. It's not that scary, but there are some tense situations that will make you run.
