I’m totally obsessed with this game. Simple black-white line visuals bring super chill casual vibes, and just enjoying soft bgm plus taking nice shots can calm me down a lot. What’s more it has main quests as well so u can keep moving on with the game. Only downside is some puzzles are too confusing that I gotta check walkthrus, yet the whole experience is still peak level all the way.

This is such a cute little game with a lot of personality. While I didn't use a lot of the photo filters or take selfies, I had a lot of fun taking pictures and fulfilling the little challenges. I absolutely burned through it on a Sunday afternoon, and would easily recommend it to friends and family.

What a splendid little game. I'm glad I gave this one a chance despite thinking the B/W aesthetic would be too monotone. It wasn't. The game has so much charm and rewards the player for taking the scenic route to explore every nook and cranny and angle. I appreciated the game not having any missable collectables or achievements. I do wish there was a way to add filters to photos that have already been taken but otherwise found Toem a flawless experience. The free DLC adding a day/night cycle looked fantastic and felt so festive.

TOEM tells the story of a small, sheep-like creature who dreams of experiencing the “TOEM” (comparable to the Aurora Borealis) once, and sets off on a long journey to make that little dream come true. It's a short cozy game set in a monochrome 2.5D world where you use a camera to capture everything interesting you find along the way. You'll meet a lot of quirky characters who send you on small quests through five different locations. The story is told with a lot of love, the world is rich in detail and also hides many little secrets, while the OST creates a relaxing background atmosphere. Including the free DLC, it took me about 10 hours to complete 100%, but I really took my time and simply, just enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall, TOEM is a handsome combination of adventure-, cozy-, hidden object- and puzzle game that is definitely worth the price of 20€.
