they're making triple a games with millions of dollars and years of development and my goty was 30 minutes long and cost 3 dollars and was about a duck wearing sunglasses

What if Sonic got another chance to make a transition from 2D to 3D. And that, if we erase history between Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Mania and continue from there. This is what Toree Saturn presents in a perfect manner, just without the Sonic characters. What amazed me is how wonderfully you get a sense of speed while keeping full control of your character with minimal frustration. My favorite aspect is the drop dash from Sonic Mania making the best transition to 3D you could imagine. What felt like a missing piece in 2D Sonic games and I never want to miss again, now also works in 3D Sonic-like, and I wish other 3D Sonic games had this execution of drop dash in the same manner. There are still homing objects but you can combine them with the drop dash move to keep the speed going. In some areas death pits have been replaced with floating air. So you float in thin air whenever you fall from a platform. Perform a drop dash move here to gain hight again - genius advancement of an already wonderful move! In some parts this can even be used to skip sections - great for speedrunning manners. I just wish they installed this in every area, as some levels still have death pits, teleporting you to previous checkpoints. On the really unforunate side, the game is extremely short. You can finish it within 40 minutes. The game is highly replayable though, and easy to return to for short bursts - again, the comparsion to classic Sonic games comes to full fruition here. The game has a time attack, which is very challenging, but motivates you with unlockable rewards for completing levels with better ranks. This will keep you busy for a while, and it's fun to figure out new ways on how to get through a level even faster. Toree Saturn is part of an ongoing and continuously improving series of great 3D platformers, and I'm hopeful that one day we'll see a full fledged 3D Toree game that will make all other 3D Sonic crumble beneath it. Keep it going, Dev! EDIT: cleaned some spelling errors, corrected some misinformation and expanded on some points. :)

i cant believe this dev was able to get Johnny Gioeli on the soundtrack. absolute BANGERS in this game. Not to mention how fun it is to play it. 10/10 im telling all of my sonic autist friends

This is the first game from Siactro that I've actually been following the development of and have been actively anticipating. As I understand it, this game has had an exceptionally long development period compared to their others, and I'm glad all of that development time went into making the quality of the bite-sized game higher instead of making a longer game of similar quality to past ones. Toree controls excellently for playing levels as intended, although the way your momentum sticks to you when you want to break off of the intended path to search for secrets is not ideal. I don't want to spoil anything, but this game had my jaw on the floor several times with what it did. Make sure to stick around for the secrets, too, because they're equally jaw-dropping. Long live Siactro.
