I rarely leave reviews for games (or anythings at all, honestly), only when something truly captivates me or really disappoints. Town to City is the first case. This is one of the simplest, coziest, and surprisingly well-crafted city builders I've encountered. You don't need to be an economics genius to keep your city profitable. Citizens won't hate you for every wrong decision and won't flee in droves at your first mistake. You don't need to be an architect or designer for your city to look genuinely beautiful. That's the main charm of this game. You don't need to try too hard to simply enjoy the process. You build, watch your city grow, and have fun. No stress, no endless micromanagement, no feeling that you're doing something wrong. Town to City is a game that lets you relax and create at your own pace. If you're tired of complex simulators where every action can lead to collapse, or you just want to spend an evening on something pleasant and meditative - this is your choice. Wholeheartedly recommended.

This game was the only thing I'm able to do on the computer after a very bad burnout at work. I couldn't open my computer for months, but I was watching some playing on yt and I decided to give a try. It's literally helping me to heal.

[Edited 10/14/2025] The game is very good. So much freedom to build whatever you want. Overall positive review that I'm not even going to mention the Pro's. The whole game is a Pro. So here are my complaints. Main complaints though: - can't adjust map size. Or there aren't any larger maps. - Can't edit terrain. The first career map has a section that's PERFECT for towers and other parks and what/not, but residents cannot walk up the path/warehouses don't connect over the terrain, even though paths are placed. Minor setback, though still annoying. - No mod support. I can already see creator packs of furniture mods, vehicle mods, house mods, etc. - No prefab support. I'd like to be able to blueprint my houses that I create and put them in their own "Randomize" order. - No Bridges/stairs. - No ability to terrain edit, again. It doesn't have to be much, but it'd be nice to adjust some stuff as needed. [Edit 10/14/2025]: Fall update is here! The lil pumpkins and dead trees and actual gravestones are sweet. Made me laugh how they added dead Ivy before alive ivy to buildings. All in all, lovely additions along with sweet bug-fixes, though there are still plenty. I keep restarting my towns because I think of something new. Though, I didn't have to, but I enjoy starting fresh and this game makes it really fun.

This game accomplishes what a lot of "cozy" games fail to do. Many "cozy" games are mostly just a digital "toy." Because there's always an intrinsic conflict between things being "cozy" and the constraints placed on "games" that give you purpose in your actions. This game threads the needle to give you things to do with enough gentle pressure to not feel the stress of the need to move the game forward. But there IS a game here and it's nice. You can also feel satisfied with the construction and layout of your little town. It's a nice time.

THIS GAME IS TOP TIER! the only thing i would change is adding a ctrl Z option to fix mistakes when building. The progression is smooth and the actually planning and decoration is the best ive seen in a game, im addicted.
