Hadn't been able to launch the game for over a YEAR but I found a workaround. Open Powershell as administrator, change the directory (cd then space) to where Trials Rising is located. For me it's: cd 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Trials Rising' then type: Start-Process ".\Launch_Trials_Rising.exe" /offline This DOESN'T keep it offline. I was still able to play online once it launched. Controls look a bit broken but as long as you know how to play and navigate menus, you'll be sweet! Great game, TERRIBLE launcher!

Unfortunately ubisoft is a garbage company that has no intention of properly supporting stuff they make. It seems I am one of the lucky ones whose game functions, and that is why I am giving it a recommendation. When the game works, it is amazing, by far the richest entry in the Trials franchise with really good progression, tutorials, level design and depth, customization etc. (not to mention the track editor, meaning players also can and have created masterpieces). Also they didn't need to go this hard with the soundtrack but it is really solid. Download the demo and see if the game opens for you, if it does, it is definitely worth it on sale, maybe even full price.

To steam deck users as of today, the hex editor hack does make this playable. I’ve tried it in the past and I did not have luck finding the correct offset mentioned. I was given guidance to try a different hex editor and can confirm that Okteta does show the offset and I was able to get the game running on steam deck. Prior to this it would just crash due to shit Ubisoft Anticheat. Use this guide for disable Anticheat. The only thing of note is the offset appeared as 0178:ACC0 instead of 0178ACC0 using Okteta. HexEdit did not work for me on steam deck. This may also work for other users on other Operating systems, cannot confirm. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Trials_Rising Scroll down towards bottom for the Anti Cheat hex edit guide. “For steam” We should not have to do this crap. Fuuk Ubisoft. I hate supporting them, but love this series.

Trials Rising is everything you love about "Trials" combined with everything that you hate about where the industry has shifted towards over the last decade. While this game has a poor reputation for its loot boxes (purely cosmetics) and ghosts (easily disabled) --- the biggest downfall for Rising would have to be the stupid Challenge system. Previous Trials games were more linear... accumulate 'X' amount of medals and you will unlock the next batch of levels. If you're unfortunate enough to achieve Gold's on your first playthrough, Trials Rising will eventually force you to complete a bunch of mindless "Challenges" to level up. Otherwise, you will literally be stuck. The challenges force you to complete random stipulations, such as completing a track within 90 seconds while performing 10 backflips. The next level might require completing the track with a specific bike, and so forth. Despite my play time on Steam, I've actually logged 10 hours on the PS5; I love the game and wish I could play MORE levels, but I'm burned out. If you do not purchase the Expansion Pass, you will easily get to a point where you can no longer unlock anything within 2-4 hours --- and the highest track difficulty is MEDIUM. I'm actually up to level 53, and I have still not unlocked a single Hard or Ninja track. There are several Skill Games, and I believe one "tutorial" track is also locked. I'm literally forced to re-play levels... not because *I* want to shave milliseconds from my PB's, or to beat someone else's PB's in my Friends List. No... I have re-play levels and complete whatever mundane "Challenge" the game has generated... grinding away to slowly level up. It's a shame, because this is otherwise a great game and would have been my favorite Trials game if it simply had a more traditional, linear progression system that allowed me to unlock more stages. I ended up purchasing the game on Steam to support the developer and I hope another Trials game eventually hits the market. Also, despite recent reviews, the game absolutely still runs as of the time of this review. If you're a fan of Trials, check it out... on sale. Be prepared to purchase the Expansion Pass, as well. Otherwise, you're only getting a few hours of gaming and a few dozen Easy and Medium tracks until you're forced to grind out the same levels over... and over... and over... and over... and over... and over.... and over...

I like it and the levels are good but the lootboxes and money grabbing stuff is bad
