Very nice co-op game. Cool new abilities for the characters. It goes into more of a puzzle direction though. Still a lot of platforming and fighting, but there are often section where you have to figure out a very specific solution to progress. Of course, in typical Trine fashion, you can often cheese your way through. I love the janky physics :) I personally liked the first entries more. There, you could continue to play with fewer of the characters, should someone die (we always played on the hardest difficulty). Here, any death means a restart, which I find quite sad. But with so many puzzle sections, I see that missing characters can quickly lead to softlocked sections. Overall a very solid game. If you played any other Trine games and want more, there you have it. I'd still say that Trine in general is probably my favorite co-op series. 4/5

I played the first part alone and loved it. We played the second part together with my girlfriend at the time and loved it. We preferred to skip the third one. (sorry) We played the fourth with my wife and loved it again. We played this with my little son and loved every moment of it. Thank you for this many unforgettable and fun experiences, Frozenbyte!

You are going to be either happy or unhappy with this just as much as you were with Trine 4. The difference is not night and day. Just a solid continuation to a great story with a handful new features.

It's as good as Trine 2 which was the high point of the series. Gameplay, powers and the three characters all feel fun to play with. Level design is great and not too many collectibles as well. Love the art style and atmosphere of the game, very Disney fairy tale like. 8/10
