Warning ! Running the game requires manually downloading patches and adding files from other Steam games to run! And in doing so will deactivate Steam achievements. So if you want to play this game for steam achievements, I'm sorry but the developers didn't care to fix it. It's a game with a lot of flaws, but in my opinion it's a pretty decent RPG The negatives first: 1. Side quests that MUST be completed before main story line quests, otherwise they will disappear. 2. Concerning playing as an archer - There are skill books that must be activated before others, otherwise the player won't be able to use them. It's really stupid, you can't quick slot archer skills manually, they are assigned the second you activate the skill book. 3. My play-through didn't have a lot of crashes but they can and will occur to most. -I was simply sailing around on my boat and then the game would crash if I reached a specific point in the game world. 4. Shields are pointless since you cannot actively block with them, they are treated as weapons. No protection from ranged attacks, you have to dodge by running around like an idiot. 5. The pickpocket mini-game is the WORSE I have ever seen, and it will frustrate most players to no-end. 6. There are a lot of enemies and features from the previous game that give the impression of a downgrade. - No more potions that have permanent effects like the first Two Worlds, Tulok from the previous game returns but are more of a frustration to fight than a fun challenge, a hit from them can knock the player down, followed by several blows that can kill you. No way to resist a knockdown, you have to prevent enemies swarming you. The positives are: 1. Plenty of quests to keep you busy, with rewards ranging from crap to very useful. 2. Game world is large and exploring does feel rewarding. 3. Large enemy monster variety and are visually well designed. 4. Magic system is very nicely done, player can craft spells and experiment. 5. Game's ending does give closure if you've been following the story line from the first game. 6. Lots of auras(gold) to be made if you max your rep with thieves guild and start selling whatever you can to them. 7. Personal storage is a new feature when compared to the first game. Homes to be bought and one that can be won from a horse race. Personal thought: The combat is fun but it's a better idea to combine melee or bow with magic as opposed to combining melee and bow. Lastly, levelling a character that can fight in melee combat is a good idea, especially in dungeons, it get's cramped and enemies will often be IN YOUR FACE !.

Hilarious dialogue. Nice fun exploring. Decent variety of game mechanics, but pretty clunky. Not unbearable tho. The fighting isn't too fun. The leveling up is fun somehow. I barely remember what it was like playing this when it came out almost 15 years ago, but i enjoyed the stealth mechanic when i figured it out, and i love stealth. The hilariously awkward dialogue is so fun to listen to though... it seems like Tommy Wiseau helped write it. Have your dad join you. Why did i just review this?

it feels like if you described elder scrolls to a blind guy and you put him infront of a computer and told him to make that game. 2
