This chapter of the series manages to distinguish itself well from Volume 7, improving what I personally considered its weakest point: excessive simplicity. Even though it did not take me too long to complete, I still had to put in a fair amount of effort to properly understand all the abilities, how to use them, and which ones worked best for completing each objective more easily. The high power of some abilities also feels well balanced, especially because the game increases the number of more dangerous enemies, including better armed ones and enemies with shields. Overall, I consider this one of the better entries in the series, mainly because of the variety it manages to offer throughout the experience.
Another excellent installment in this top-down shooter saga, and the challenge keeps increasing with the addition of new mechanics. Each game offers more variations to each run, adding a bit of strategy depending on your goal, whether it's surviving the event or achieving a high score. Extremely satisfying and addictive.
