A sweet, cozy game that follows a young woman living the millennial nightmare, pressured into a job by a pushy parent because it pays the bills, all the while daydreaming about doing what she actually wants to do: open a houseplant shop. Told primarily through phone calls and snippets of conversations during and between levels, it tells a pleasant enough story while never quite dipping into anything too serious or deep. Each level gives us a small area - a bedroom, a first apartment, a coffee shop, etc - which we must fill up with plants. Plants have 3 primary needs to fulfil: light, humidity, and having other compatible plants nearby, which when met score points. Optional goals appear in each level such as unpacking boxes or petting your cat, which earn you cash to buy more elaborate plants. Everything's kept quite simple - it reminds me of another indie game, Unpacking, but Urban Jungle does have a small problem which is that it's impossible to keep things neat and also score points - maybe that's a commentary on the joy of untidiness when it comes to nature, or maybe it's just the way my brain is wired.

🌿 Urban Jungle – 8.5/10 A super chill and aesthetically pleasing game where you decorate small urban spaces with plants 🌿. It’s part puzzle, part interior design, and all vibes. Each level is a little room or corner to style—place the right plants, arrange them just right, and make the space feel alive. The goal is to fit plants within specific constraints (sunlight, space, etc.), but it never feels stressful. It’s peaceful, satisfying, and kind of like digital feng shui. 👍 Pros: [*] Gorgeous minimalist art style 🎨 [*] Super relaxing, no timers or pressure 😌 [*] Satisfying “click” when you complete a level [*] Cozy vibes for plant lovers 🌻 👎 Cons: [*] A bit short (can be finished in a few hours) [*] Not much variety after a while [*] Would love more rooms or customization options! If you love games like Unpacking, or just want something calm and satisfying, Urban Jungle is a lovely little escape. 🌿🏡

Urban Jungle is a very good game where you decorate differents places by putting some various plants in a cozy ambient. You can even move objects and place it where you want for more customizations. The soundtrack is realxing and the designs are cute. It's the perfect game to chill out and take a breathe after a long day...I highly recommend it! 🪴❤️

A combination of houseplant games + Unpacking. more so the plants than the unpacking. It's cute and cozy but not without flaws. Items will sometimes clip. The fastest way to get the points you need is not to lovingly decorate a space but to just clump plants with good interactions together in as big of a pile as you can. Story is cute, not that deep. Game isn't very long (about 3 hours to get thru the story, more if you want to get all achievements which does require some Luck.) Overall I think it was All Right. If this seems like your vibe, get it, if it seems like it's maybe your vibe, wait for a sale.

While I do love the game, it's almost unplayable. I am an indie pc gamer, and I usually play all my games on my pc, which is just a regular Dell for work with Windows 11. I asked my husband to lend me his Steam Deck so I could finish my game, but even there, it couldn't run correctly. It crashed, hard, to the point where the Steam Deck got restarted thrice. I humbly ask the developers to optimize it, because it was fun and cute. I want to finish it, I'm learning from plants, and I even want to buy some.
