It can be considered a surprisingly solid title. From an ARPG perspective, it doesn’t really offer anything particularly unique—if anything, it feels more like an ‘arcade RPG’ than a traditional action RPG. That’s mainly because your character more or less progresses on its own. You don’t allocate stats; instead, you focus on collecting or acquiring the right weapons. There’s no real build variety either—you just try to improve your performance slightly through cards. Because of this, as you progress, there isn’t much challenge apart from the final boss. Even then, simply leveling up a bit might be enough. That said, for players looking for more grind or additional content, there are other worlds beyond the main story. Another nice touch is the voice acting (yes, Doug Cockle—aka Geralt). Overall, ARPG fans might consider it during a sale for a roughly 10-hour experience, but given its release period, expectations shouldn’t be set too high.

I hope we see abother like this game. This game is very fun and has a lot of soul. i might reinstall and give some more time. The Narrator can be a little annoying at times but a part of the charm.

Bought the game a decade ago and never bothered to go around to completing it as I just didn't see the appeal of what I thought was a cheap, overrated title. Fortunately, I decided to pull the trigger and see why I decided to buy it and after going through it in almost a day can say that it deserve the rest and recognition that it deserves despite its flaw. 8/10.
