This game has really solid foundation, but needs more complexity in my opinion. The gameplay is fun, effects satisfying and has a good soundtrack, but i expected to be some sort of a skill tree for your characters, well that's not here, game is really easy and pretty short, This game feels like introduction for Resident Evil fans to Turn Based RPGs than other way around which results in game being really easy for veterans of the turn based genere. The difference between two characters is really minimal, Amber can use grapple gun and Leopoldo can push heavier enemies and that's it. I will recommend this game so more people will support the devs, but please if there is a sequel add more complexity, skill trees for characters and more distinction between them.

Well, for me it's that kind of games where you watch the trailer for the first time and immediately buy it afterwards. The game itself is a solid nod to 2000's and PS1 era of games, inheriting both best and worst qualities of it. It has tank controls, simplified graphics and clunky inventory, yet possesses the same charm these games had. What I really like about it - its difficulty, which can be a walk in the park if you understand the game's mechanics or an unplayable nightmare if you don't. Both successes and failures stack upon each other and accumulate as you progress, forcing you to actually think how you're gonna play or risk to lose the entire run at some later missions. Overall it's a really decent game, which can give you that nostalgic vibe you've been missing for quite a while. If you're a fan of a genre - just get it, it's worth it.

>be time traveler >go back to the Mesozoic Period >accidentally step on a butterfly >ohshit.jpg >return to own time >nearly everything is the same >nearly >Japanese video game cultural landscape was shaped by Berserker Raids instead of Wizardry and Ultima >Resident Evil is a turn-based strategy game series now under a different name Last time this happened I accidentally caused the 3DO to win the console wars, so you guys should be grateful.

wonderful art style, good exploration, story is good enough to keep you engaged. Combat feels nice except for the "push into wall/stun" mechanic. It's too exploitable in my opinion and not only on normal enemies, once i got the first boss between Leopoldo and a wall... it wasn't really a fight anymore. maybe add stun resistance buildup?

2.5 location down, so kinda early review. Feels very nice. Fun exploring locations, fun solving battle "puzzles". Have some bugs and issues, hope it will be patch out soon.
