A certified childhood classic!! Warfare 1917 & 1944 were my early childhood game goats that I found on a old flash game website or something like that however these games were very fun to play and I would play these occasionally on the computer from time to time along with another game called battle gear but however, I am happy I was able to play this revamp version of a flash game brought back to life and appreciated for it I am deeply touched by this and are grateful to play this game again
This game is a trip down memory lane for me as I fondly recall playing both Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 back when they were flash games on Armor Games. This of course was when flash games were in their heyday and I was just a kid in middle school so many years ago. Nostalgic. The price tag of $10 is right in the sweet spot for value for money in my opinion. You can easily get several hours of enjoyment out of Warfare Legacy Collection, and I am happy to support the developer who essentially rebuilt the game from scratch using Unity, likely as a passion project. Whether you want to relive the good ol' days like me, or if you just want to try out one of the best flash games ever made in an updated format, Warfare Legacy Collection is for you.
Warfare Legacy Collection I remember stumbling onto this one as a kid on Addicting Games or Armor Games and feeling like I was getting away with something, playing a "military game" during a study hall computer session. Warfare Legacy Collection bundles up the originals, Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944, along with a brand new Battle of the Bulge campaign, and it's basically the same tug-of-war formula I remember: deploy troops, push the line, manage your command points, repeat until the other side breaks. It's a simple concept and it still works, mostly because it never pretends to be anything more complicated than it is. I beat all four campaigns across 1917 and 1944 in about 2.5 hours, which makes this the perfect rainy afternoon game rather than something you sit down with expecting a long haul. There's no bloat here, you're just commanding a force and grinding down the opposing side lane by lane until you win. For what it is, that's a satisfying loop, and the WWI and WWII settings give each campaign its own flavor instead of just being reskins of the same maps. My only real gripe is the price. $10 for a couple hours of content is steep on paper, and I'd tell most people to wait for a sale rather than pay full price, but it's not an outrageous ask either given how well it captures that browser game nostalgia.
