This was a pretty good Indie Horror game. It had a good story/premise to it. The graphics and reflections are really good. I wish the fov was adjustable because personally I thought it maybe 10 degrees higher then my personal taste but i got used to it. It took me about 45-50 minutes to complete the game with all steam achievements. I thought the atmosphere was great and it had a few good jump scares with the perfect sounds attached to really catch you off guard. It does use a lot of triggers to set things in motion so if you feel like your lost or nothing seems to be advancing you in game just walk back and forth to hit the trigger points. Sometimes that requires walking all the way down the hallway to a door you already have checked and know is locked then walking the other way back down that same hall and a new door will be open to go through. The game is worth the $7 price tag on it in my opinion. Wish it was another 30-40 minutes longer though. See my game play here. https://youtu.be/CWw8yVp9Ajw

Welcome to Kowloon is a short, intense, and grim horror experience that leverages tight spaces, urban decay, and psychological uncertainty to great effect. It doesn’t reinvent the walking sim, but it succeeds at what it sets out to do: make you uncomfortable, paranoid, and unsure of what’s real. If you’re a fan of games like Paratopic, Lost in Vivo, or The Closing Shift, this is well worth your hour.

This game gained a spot in my Favorites due to its level design. The game is set in Kowloon which is supposed to be a densely populated city, and you navigate through Mysterious backstreets and cramped alleyways, giving an immersive claustrophobia and isolation and a feeling of being watched constantly. I would love a version of the game where I can just freely walk around the place and play some lofi music.

Welcome to Kowloon is a short psychological and supernatural horror set in the bowels of Kowloon, where our protagonist has found an apartment to hide out in but didn't expect that in this suburb there would be horrors waiting to awaken him. It's a short game, but it delivers a tense caustrophobic premise with closed walls, camera movements and some cheap jumpscares.

These types of games are a fine line for me, I understand what I am getting into but even then they are sometimes just too budget for me and I don't feel they are worth me even attempting to play through. Thankfully this is not one of those games and for the cheap price you can get this game for I do think it is probably worth the hour or so it takes to finish. There is nothing here you haven't seen, its a budget horror walking simulator with cheap jump scares and a very basic setting much like so many of these low budget survival horror games. But it does well at creating a very intense and nerve wracking ambience you want from these games and even though I was very much expecting the cheap jump scares, yeah okay they still got me a couple of times.
