You might look at this game and say "All it probably has is its gimmick" , but thankfully you're wrong, this game is absolutely oozing with charm to the characters, to the bosses, to ironically even the main gimmick, the secrets where so cool that they reminded me of the first time I ever played the binding of Isaac iykyk To say that the 5 bucks price tag is well worth it is an understatement 10/10 I will continue to Mebo on my ??? till I "Friend ?" :)

A decent little roguelike game with a wonderful idea of using your system's window as a gameplay feature. The game actually has some content for about 20-30 hours, if you're into 100% completition gamers but that's it. It is definitely worth it to give it a shot!

No matter what anyone says, this game is goated. The ONLY bad thing ive heard about the game, is that its laggy, and thats easily solvable if you just look in the settings for "fake windows" so instead of having a million tiny windows, you have 1 gigantic window that combines all the windows. It runs better, and it looks good. andyways download niow

Note: Windowkill is a great game with a few flaws that I think buyers should be aware about. Even with a good PC, this game will lag with base settings. I suggest using 'Fake Windows' and any other optimization, my first good run ended in a crash because it lagged out about 30 minutes in. Some people are also reporting it's impossible to get a certain secret achievement if their computer is not at 1920 x 1080 resolution and cannot adjust to it, so if you want to 100% the game maybe check the Steam forums first before diving in. Now for the actual review. Windowkill is one of the most unique concepts I've ever seen in a video game. You have a small window that can be expanded temporarily by shooting it, making you have limited space to constantly have to work with. Bosses each get their own windows too to help keep track of them, and each have different attack patterns that interact with the game's window gimmicks differently. There are so many cool ideas thrown at the player in a short period of time. As this game is on the cheaper side there is only so much content and depth to the game though, but it makes up for that by maxing out on style points. The first few hours I spent trying to get as far as possible, and then the rest of the hours I spent doing a bunch of the mini-challenges to 100% the game. I like Windowkill. It has a very distinct personality, and it's very easy to hop into a 30 minute run that makes you feel very powerful by the end. It's definitely worth the few bucks to check it out, especially if you have some music to jam out to while playing. (The default tracks are fine, but does get old pretty quickly.)
