I have really enjoyed this game so far. Like others have mentioned, the mechanics are very similar to those of Stacklands (paid) and Cookard (free). Though, I do find WitchHand more accessible to beginners in this genre in comparison to Stacklands just because it is easier to look away, inventory management is more immediate, and lack of interaction with food resources. One thing -- mechanics of this involve your familiar cats dying/being sacrificed so if that is difficult for you for whatever reason, I'd recommend passing on this one. Revival is possible in many cases but not all, from my understanding.

I enjoyed my time playing this game and I really like the cutesy witch theme, that's why I preferred this over Stacklands. That said, I don’t think I’ll do a second playthrough. Maybe it’s the repetitive gameplay, or maybe this kind of game just isn’t quite my thing. But I had my fun regardless and if you like something like Stacklands or think this game looks kinda neat then just give it a try!

Really cute game, however so similar to Stacklands that I've you've already played it there may not be a lot new here for you. Possibly would recommend over Stacklands for the theme and cute audio.

Honestly this game is fantastic. If you liked Stacklands, you should love this game as well. Personally, I found it a tad easier than Stacklands, but it may be in part to the games pacing feeling a lot more reasonable and predictable. Additionally, I liked how there was a good amount of freedom to play how you wanted, there's lots of different ways to earn money, fight enemies, organize your board, and a lot of different sort of "builds" you can create. In addition to flexibility in game, there's also a selection of witches you can choose from at the start of a run "witch" (hehee) further changes up your playstyle. Overall this game feels incredibly polished, is very cute and charming, and is highly addictive once you get deep in a run. It's very much one of those "Just one more thing and then I will take a break" games, that you play while 4 hours pass by.

Once you get used to the first witch you can just have fun with the harder witches! Core gameplay is learned and then you can use that to realllyyy challenge yourself. I ADORE this game and the purchase was well worth it. I sank too many hours into even the first witch without realizing it as I was optimizing everything and creating a whole army. The game play is so simple, but so addicting and will have you thinking how tf has it already been 3 hours? I wish this game had more achievements though as even past beating the boss theirs a whole process that def feels like a hard achievement to get too. Managing your time on crafting vs exploring vs innovating. Resource management and working with the limited space you have. Doing EVERYTHING you can to protect your witch as if it dies your run is OVER and is also the only way to craft stuff (Yknow- except for one other witch) Taking over the ninth and becoming the ultimate witch with bountiful resources, a whole army and trapping the...well you should just play it yourself. Its a couple dollars for hours of fun.
