Like WRC 5 But Skidier WRC 6 feels like the moment KT Racing really started finding its footing with the series. It builds confidently on WRC 5’s foundation, sharpening the visuals, tightening the handling, and nudging the experience closer to a true rally simulation feel while still keeping things welcoming for players who enjoy a more relaxed SimCade style. The first thing that stands out is the improved presentation. Environments look richer, stages feel more alive, and the lighting does a far better job of selling the atmosphere of each location. The cars themselves also benefit from more detailed models and a stronger sense of weight. Handling has taken a noticeable step forward too: vehicles feel more responsive, more grounded, and—true to the title of this review—a little skid-friendly in a way that makes slides satisfying without becoming unpredictable. It’s a smart balance that rewards precision but doesn’t punish players who are still learning the ropes. One of the biggest upgrades comes from the stage design. WRC 6 introduces a handful of longer stages that finally give you that endurance‑focused rally rhythm the series had been missing. On top of that, the debut of Super Special Stages (S.S.S.) adds a fun, competitive twist—tight mirrored circuits that feel like a natural evolution for the franchise. It’s a trend that would continue to improve in later entries, but WRC 6 deserves credit for laying the groundwork. There are a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. Some of the achievements lean into unnecessary grind territory, though thankfully they’re completely optional and don’t affect the core experience. More frustrating for me personally was that I couldn’t get my Logitech G920 wheel to function correctly, despite it working perfectly in WRC 5 and WRC 4. That meant playing the entire game on a gamepad—not a deal‑breaker, but definitely a disappointment for anyone who prefers a wheel setup. Even with those hiccups, WRC 6 stands as a confident step forward for the series. It’s more polished, more dynamic, and more engaging than its predecessor, offering a rally experience that feels both authentic and accessible. For fans of the sport or anyone who enjoyed WRC 5 but wanted a bit more refinement, this is a strong entry worth revisiting.

WRC 6 Playtime: 29 hours Achievements: 41/41 (100%) The biggest thing you notice jumping across different WRC titles is how each one edges forward — the graphics step up with every release, and the HUDs get reworked, polished, trimmed, or modernized depending on the year. WRC 6 sits in that middle era where the series was figuring out its visual identity, and you can feel that evolution happening in real time. As a complete package, it’s solid: fast, punchy, and straightforward. The driving feels tight, the stages look good for its generation, and it carries that classic WRC tone without trying to reinvent the genre. Not the flashiest entry, but definitely a clean, enjoyable one — especially when you’re chasing 100%.

WRC 6 is a decent but slightly rough rally game. The stages are fun and give a good sense of speed, and the official cars/events are nice, but the handling can feel a bit floaty and inconsistent, especially if you’re used to more serious sims.
