« No One Knows What The Future Holds. That’s Why Its Potential Is Infinite. » - Okabe Rintaro I discovered Steins;Gate through the anime, back then, a friend introduced it to me. I was instantly hooked. The characters were endearing, the plot masterfully woven, and the story would stay with me forever. It became my favorite anime. So, it was a must for me to buy and play the video game. In fact, it's the very first visual novel I've ever played. It was a chance to explore all the facets of this universe that has fascinated me for years, even though I wasn't expecting much at first, since I already knew the story. I was completely wrong. First of all, the story is so complete, so detailed. We learn so much more about absolutely everything. It was a real pleasure to get to know our favorite characters even better: what they're like, their lives, their relationships, their personal histories, what they like, what they don't like. But not only that, the story itself is even more open, the scientific theories, of physics, of quantum computing which is based on real theories. The story is so captivating to follow from the perspective of Okabe Rintaro, such an interesting character to follow throughout his development. He's a human character; he's afraid, he questions himself with every choice he makes, choices that are of paramount importance. He's a man with flaws, who is afraid, who is alone in a temporal nightmare, who doubts himself. The combination is so powerful: on the one hand, the actors' performances are simply sublime, you really get the impression that they put themselves in the characters' shoes. On the other hand, the visuals are stunning, the artwork is beautiful and truly moved me at times, but also the music and sound design are so effective, constantly setting the tone for the whole experience. Steins;Gate has profoundly affected me since I first encountered it. This anime isn't just entertainment or a simple anime, it's a real experience that really affects you emotionally, it touches you, makes you ask yourself lots of questions about yourself, about others, and about the world, the human psyche. It makes you feel like you're part of the world it depicts. Steins;Gate isn't just about time travel, it tackles so many other themes, all told so well. In any case, I sincerely recommend that you immerse yourself in this magnificent experience that is Steins;Gate. El Psy Kongroo ♡
