To start: This is an astonishing one-man achievement. It has gameplay, level design, mechanics, and so on comparable to games by established studios. It's charming and fun, well made in every way. That's not to say that there's never any jank or confusion - but no more than I've seen in AAA titles as well. I played this with my 5yo son. He can play long parts of it all on his own (hinting at playability and clear design), and was enthralled with the world. I helped with direction sometimes - we're danish, so everything written is unavailable to him, basically. Many hours of good fun. Get this.

This game is just really charming. It is like a smaller scale indie windwaker with more of a focus on platforming than combat. Just run around and collect things. It is very chill and fun to run around it. A really relaxing and fun experience.

It's fantastic. It carried me through the dark winter break with its pastel goodness. So much love went into it. The traversal is incredibly fun and satisfying. The level design is ridiculously well made. Free climbing sometimes feels like cheating until you realise: nope, that was exactly what was intended. It has insane levels of un-clunkiness for a one dev indie 3D adventure. Go get it.

This was a fun game and very impressive for a solo indie dev. Its more of a simple puzzle game than anything else and it has a Legend of Zelda vibe. Though there is combat its not really a core of the game. Overall, As someone who 100% the game, I would recommend the game. Especially as an option to younger players / kids as the combat "knocks" enemies out so its really tame.

At first glance, I hated this game, but I was patient with it, and I saw that it truly is very much like Zelda. What I hated initially was the sound design. It never grew on me. I still hate how the sound effects rest at being barely minimum. The sound effects usually don't hold any punch or come even close to having iconic sounds you can hear carried over from one game to the next for decades (as seen in Zelda). In fact, if the developer makes a sequel, I'd hope he'd start 100% fresh with better sound design from the ground up. So in sound design... The game gets a "D-". The music, about 70% of the time, is completely uninspired. It's not irritating... But I'd give the music a C+. The animations are janky. Some are even missing, like using a sling shot or a bow and arrow. You don't see the player character string the bow, pull the bow string back, release, and repeat. Thing like this make all forms of combat a bit janky, BUT the fun is still there to be had. There's a few stealth mechanics, but not many. Yet I found myself using it way more than I did in Wind Waker, some of the reason is because it's easier to sneak attack enemies than it is to swing your weapon at an alerted enemy, due to combat jank. But I give the animations and combat a solid B. Why? Well, because as bizzare as it is, you get used to it fast. It's unpollished as a turd, but the fun is there, and to me, that's what matters in a video game. In spite of a game's flaws, is it fun? Keep in mind that this game was made by only ONE indie developer. And the game design is solid, every bit as sound as any veteran game designer. Every bit as well thought out as the best Zelda titles. The weird graphics grow on you. Initially I hated how the water looks, but it's really well done, as you see more of it throughout the game. Your player character looks... like a lifeless cell shaded porcelain doll, but in time, you're paying attention to the game and not if your character looks amazing or not. So, yeah, the graphics can be a bit hit and miss, but a game is the sum of it's parts, not the parts themselves. Initially, when just starting out, the game feels moderately expansive, but empty. An empty game is the sign of an amateurish developer, but no. As you progress plenty of content opens up, and fairly quickly. There's very few HUD elements, so no arrows pointing the direction you need to go. So you read the details in your mission logs to hint and push you along. They're well organized and documented, so they're really all you need. This is the sort of design for a game that doesn't just hold your hand, and I love that. The puzzles you need to solve in this game are unique unto itself, yet, it does remind a person of the quality of puzzle design, as seen in Zelda. I'd love to see this developer take on a sequel that drew inspiration from Alundra, where you get to know every villager in each town extremely well. I'd also like to see a Zelda-like's take on implementing some immersive Sim game design philosophies. And I say this because I believe that this developer is entirely capable. I'd like to thank this developer for making a great game, because in spite of the negative things I've said about it, if I look at the game as a whole, I give it an "A". Not an "A+" or "A-", but a solid, well designed "A".
