Good gunplay, great gun customization. Also like the fact that it doesn't force you to play multiplayer, though I'm sure it's fun. I just don't really have anybody to play with, so the AI teammates are a good thing to have. Zombies is pretty tough for single player though. And it doesn't hold your hand, either. It just drops you in, with no idea how to get more ammo. And the wave difficulty increases rather quickly, too. But it's still fun. All in all, well worth the $10 I paid for it, and probably would have paid full price too. lol

This game is not of high quality, but it's a fun arcady military shooter. I enjoyed my time with the game despite it's lack of polish. The guns feel good, the graphics are okay enough, the enemies are a bit dumb but sometimes in a amusing way and the story is bad but doesn't take too much space in the experience. If you get a good discount and only pay 6-10 euros/dollars, there is a good chance you'll find the game worth your money and time. Alternatively you can just wait for the sequel which will be undoubtedly better in every aspect.

I decided to purchase this as it was on sale. This is an older VR title, so the graphics are quite bland. However, the gun handling, gameplay and audio is very well done. I hope Zero Caliber 2 gets released on pcvr, and that it’s a step up in graphical fidelity. This is the closest thing we have to a cod campaign in VR.

One of my favorite VR games and the only co-op game I really enjoyed. I spent a lot of time playing it during the pandemic and lockdown... What a time that was.

Is it fun? sure. is it great? meh. does it get updated? not since OCT, 2023. there is some jank, yes. goofy weapon skins? yes. some skins are nice though. graphics are meh at best for a VR game, does not match the promotional videos/screens. I have this steam version, and the Quest "reloaded" version so i can play with my son. really, the main differences are the map size (steam version has, lets say 8, but they are large and take a little longer to complete than the "reloaded" (ZCR) version. ZCR has lets say, 12, but they are significantly shorter than the steam version. yes, i know that the steam version has more resources available to allow for that. weapons? about the same. Steam version (ZC) has the HQ base you can wander around and go customize guns, ZCR does not. ZCR does it through a menu in the "HQ" that is literally 2 rooms. graphically, i would say the steam version is a little better, but not much. apparently, even if you max out settings it looks the exact same. still very empty maps on both versions, veteran is pretty much one hit kill for players for incoming damage, enemy AI are bullet sponges regardless of the difficulty. ive seen AI take out human players with their VAL rifles with a couple shots, while they can take 3-5 shots from the Desert Eagle, or almost 10 rounds from an assault rifle. sure, if its on veteran, i mean i would understand if it was your typical FPS style game where that is usually an SOP of FPS games. higher difficulty = more enemy health, player takes more damage, but this is ridiculous. if its supposed to be at least somewhat of a "tactical" shooter, maybe both sides should be able to only take a couple hits? screenshots on the steam page look nothing like whats in game. I dont do discord so maybe im missing a reason why they have not updated their game since October of last year, but they could at least fix some things? overhaul the graphics for the steam version? add a couple more goonz (the recommended/suggested weapons to add list is getting bigger every week it seems, only to fall on deaf ears). would i recommend? sure, if you have steam buddies that want to play with you, because every time i create a game, nobody ever joins. ive had a few randos join, but then quickly leave maybe 1-2 maps later. once you beat the main campaign, youll notice maybe half way though it that the maps are pretty empty, specially if you are running solo. PvP seems to be pretty popular, but i am not one of those players, i prefer a good coop sesh. id buy it for another steam friend during a sale, but not full price. i have not tried zombie mode on the steam verison, but on ZCR its ok. my son and i seem to have fun bashing zombies with the fire extinguisher and alpha-male one handing the fire axe with a pistol. get it on sale maybe.
