I charged up a super massive ball of energy, shot it on an island and the game crashed. I greatly recommend.

I'm not going to come here and lie to you, dear reader. This game has flaws, right now. Some of the mechanics just aren't clear, and others simply don't work the way they are supposed to (assuming I'm understanding the way they're supposed to work at all). If you play the game correctly, you will very quickly outpace every enemy you fight, until suddenly you find yourself against an impossible challenge and wonder, "Where the hell is the balance in this game?" The story is okay, but after one NG+ play through, I'm still not entirely sure in what order I am expected to experience the events from a canon perspective, and I'm not sure it even matters. Many of the worlds are very empty, but I suspect (hope) that will change at some point in the future. But, you know what? Even if it doesn't, I don't care. I am still glad I bought this game, and I would literally buy it again. I might even do that for my buddy, even though I'm not sure his potato will play it. There's an unmistakable charm to 9 Days that draws you in, despite its flaws. The game play is very reminiscent of Dragon Ball, as is the story progression. But I like it better, somehow. As others have said, it's power fantasy. There's nothing quite like flying at light speed through SPACE and arriving at a planet to either save the day, wreak some havoc, or just blow the thing up. The choice is yours, and you deal with the consequences. Maybe. Honestly the last time I blew up a planet it was on accident but I was fortunate enough that it re-spawned when I exited and re-entered the zone. As far as character progression is concerned, I don't see a cap, and this gives it quite a bit of replay value. There's a NG+ function and you absolutely have to use it if you want to defeat some of the most difficult enemies in the game, which are 100% optional. There's even a transmog system for armor, although it's a bit tedious at times. The developer just rolled out some character customization with hair styles, and I hope there are more coming with other character appearance options, as they're currently somewhat limited. I want you to buy this game right now and play it. Don't read too much into the flaws I mentioned above, because this dev is actively engaged in making it a better game, adding new features and content while fixing bugs with each update. And they seem to come in on a monthly basis. If you're into super heroes, you like to support independent developers, and you're willing to come into this with an open mind, you will not be disappointed at all.

Played 9 Days after keeping it wishlisted for a year. It’s rough, but you can feel the ambition. For a solo dev, it avoids game-breaking bugs — and despite the flaws, I had fun. Pros: Great skill variety, flashy moves, and transformations. Stat/energy system is unique, with customisable aura colours. Grinding feels rewarding without getting tedious. Graphics (especially in space) look amazing. Good voice acting, snappy dialogue, and clean cutscenes. Music fits the action well. You actually feel like the main character — it’s rare for indie RPGs. Enemy variety is solid, with cool quirks like invincibility phases and twitchy/'psychotic' bosses. DBZ vibes are clear in Idris (Vegeta clone in a good way), skills, and transformations. Cons: Long load times and lag spikes, especially in Balu city, Tunda village, and Hara School of Fox. Clunky UI — controls reset every launch, menus are awkward, and no proper/dedicated quest log for clarification. AI is weak — easy to spam energy bombs from range without retaliation, need to be in front for actual response. Transformations are unbalanced. Omnipresence is broken, making other forms pointless. Also unclear which one is truly the best especially when Omnipresence has essentially unlimited upgrades but True Protector form is limited with 8 skill point upgrades and still underperforms with Colossal Blast & Muzaya upgrades. Skills occasionally bug out (e.g. Time Slow slowing me for minutes). Boss fights need work — Hara Guardian’s confusion and frustrating style, disappearing bosses, underwhelming bossfights that are just sponges, etc. No scaling indicator — you often feel overpowered without knowing it. Resource farming is exploitable (Black Hole farming and Destroy Asteroid quests). Lock-on system is unreliable in bright areas or tight spaces. Even often bugs out. World feels empty — needs more foliage, wildlife, and ambient life. Wishlist Improvements: Balance forms and give proper cutscenes to key transformations. Smarter enemy AI. Optimisation in busy areas. Add a quest tracker and visible buff list. Probably should make special quest energies permanent and non-removable, added to the visible buff list separate from user controlled energies. Cap health/ki bar lengths. Fix control reset issue. Lock-on improvements. Diverse character models and environmental variety. Think Viltrumites and Saiyans. There are different types of Saiyans in Xenoverse and Viltrumites don't look all the same. Optional story fusions or narrative choices would be a killer addition. Final Thought: It’s a passion project with tons of cool ideas but needs polish in AI, balance, and optimisation. If those get cleaned up, this could be a cult classic indie action-RPG. Right now, it’s a rough but fun ride for DBZ fans and solo-dev supporters.

If you are checking the reviews and debating whether you should buy this game or not, BUY IT. I first heard about this game on tiktok of all places and i didn't have high hopes for the game. However, when it was released and i bought it, pleasantly surprised doesn't even come close to what i felt. I was amazed that this developer was able to pull off a superhero game like this. Of course he wasn't going to be able to use the Superman name for obvious reasons but he gave use everything that we could possibly want in a superhero game of this magnitude. There are parts that are corny or janky, but those are very minor in the grand scope of the game. It is fun and that is all i care about. A big congrats to the developer because you have created something that many people have wanted for such a long time. You truly deserve success, and i REALLY hope that you are making the money that you deserve to make. My hats off to the dev....damn good job!

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it rough? Absolutely. But does the dev seem to care deeply about this and is always actively working to make it better? Yes. I wouldnt recommend this game if you are looking for a polished experience, but if you are looking for a EA game with a seemingly caring dev to watch the game go through its phases and improve over time, at $15 yea its probably worth.
