to be honest, this game is a total ass both as sao game and as rpg. you'll spend most of your times going around, looking for the trigger for the next quest because the game think it's a good idea to let you look for it yourself instead of showing it on the map (cause why not. maps are for losers, i guess). in terms of story, yep, it's ass (not like any sao games have good story, but this one is pretty much cringy for me). in terms of gameplay, it's just sao lost song with an addition of accel world's characters. the world doesn't have much to explore, so yeah, it's just another "go do your main quest or side quest without anything to explore" kind of rpg. in terms of combat, i kinda like the skill connect thing, but that's it. some of you may ask "so why are you recommending this game even tho you keep saying that this game is ass?". the answer is simple. fuuko kurasaki looks so beautiful in this game, so i'll forgive all those shitty aspect.

Similar to the SAO Lost Song game, just with the addition of Accel World characters / content. It is your usual Action JRPG, dialogue was good along with the RPG aspects. Graphics are okay and the flying was a nice addition to movement (similar to Lost Song). As expected of typical JRPGs, it might getting grindy / repetitive at times especially with some missions. I enjoyed the story for the most part. Recommended to get on deep discount.

Sooo... This is actually one of my favorite games. It's too bad they don't have a little more coop in it, BUT, unlike most of sword arts games you can actually adventure through the overworld (Not the main storyline, annoyingly), and the infinite dungeon together, as well as some boss runs. Now, the main drawback, are the super crappy controls. Anyone who made this, had clearly never played the port, and I don't even think the gamepad controls are all that good, either. I wish they'd start considering how awkward their games are to play a little, they haven't improved it much in the future, either. I do love all of the variety of characters, they almost all handle quite differently. For instance, you can turn yourself into a battle fortress with one character, run around as a jaguar with another, play as an archer, a mage, a terrible villain, a great buffer, a super bouncy crazy slashy something or another... And every character has a slightly different spec, so you can customize pretty well to your playstyle. Tl;dr - If you can get past the horrible controls, and you like sword art, or even just a decent action rpg, it's worthwhile. Oh, and the crappy hints for where you need to go next, but go look for a walkthrough if you need one ;P

If you're not a fan of either series, there's probably not much that's going to convince you to play this one. The early games in the SAO series had a lot of depth to them, especially the battles and buffs. You could build really powerful characters. A lot of that has been dumbed down, and this title a basically a button masher. There is still a lot of systems running in the background of battles, but its nothing like the Hollow titles. What I enjoy about this game, is having a giant party of characters to choose from, then you just go grind materials and quests so you can build up your weapons. The story is nothing but anime tropes, but I knew nothing about Accel World coming in, so learning about all the new characters was fun. But I could fly around grinding for hours on this game. The map and most assets were just reused from Lost Song. The graphics look very early ps4, but it still runs my GPU and RAM up to the max. So I assume that's just the game not being optimized for PC very well. Because Red Dead 2 doesnt even run the system as high as this game does lol. Edit (11 hours) The game is starting to crash, a lot. [DXGI Error Device Hung Up] seems to be an issue with the GPU, but its not happening when I play anything else. Really disappointing, but I think its safe to say, these games are better played on a PS. TLDR; if you enjoy SAO games this one is fun, just for the gameplay, grinding, and crafting weapons. If you're not a fan of the series already, this isnt the 1 I would try to sell you on.
