This is a fantastic game, paying tribute to one of Fantasy's most beloved genres: Sword and Sorcery! A genre that unfortunately does not have enough media to enjoy! If you love Conan the Barbarian, the classic fantasy epics of the late 70s and 80s, Weapon Lord, or any other Sword and Sorcery novel, movie, TV show, etc... Do yourself a favor and play this!
Its kinda frustrating at times and the dragon can stuff it forever but if you're a lover of weirder and more out-there games that allow you to genitally mutilate your enemies while playing as an old-school sword and sandal barbarian hero/heroine then give it a shot. I appreciate the pulp feel to it, something of a lost art so I find.
It's really worth it if you dig that barbarian vibe. Great content that's sorely missing from every other fantasy title. Don't let negative reviews convince you that the game is broken, or jankier than it is. The game runs on old school rules of exploration and discovery. If you missed a cave there, you might not find what you were looking for. Keep looking. Is it perfect? Well, no. The most persistent issue is that the fps lags before each enemy encounter. If that would be too much of an annoyance for *your highness*, then this game isn't for you, because you're obviously not meant to live in an age of barbarian.
This game is amazing(with the exception of bugs and glitches) and its a nice introduction to a new IP. This game is heavily inspired by Conan the Barbarian, and its shows in the art style and storytelling. If you like side scrollers with a simple yet hard to master combat, with gore ad sexy times, you will love this game.
