This game has a lot of negative aspects, but if you catch it on sale it can still be fun. These are the main issues: Reliance on aggressive post-processing effects The PC version is based on the PS4 port, which uses a heavy amount of aggressive post-processing effects that you can’t fully disable. There’s tons of color grading and color correction that completely change and distort the original colors of objects, characters, and areas. The game relies heavily on bloom to create contrast and brightness, along with many color effects applied directly to everything: characters, sky, and the map itself. This prevents you from getting a clean image and can even increase input delay. Overall, the game looks washed out, lacks contrast, and the colors are way too warm. You can “disable” bloom and slightly improve color accuracy by increasing blue tones in the game’s post-processing config, but keep in mind this just adds more color correction on top of already corrected colors. The image won’t look consistent across all areas of the game: some places may look better, while others will look completely wrong. Extremely low “internal” resolution and blurriness The game renders at the selected resolution, but the internal resolution is somehow much lower. Characters use native resolution in the inventory and other UI screens, but revert to a low resolution during gameplay. The result is not only a pixelated image, but also a very blurry one. The only anti-aliasing technique used is FXAA, which doesn’t help much, leaving downsampling as the only real option if you want the game to look sharp. Keyboard controls: basically nonexistent The game is technically “compatible” with keyboard and mouse, but the implementation is very poor: [*]There are no proper keyboard prompts. [*]The mouse doesn’t actually work correctly for camera control. It basically emulates a controller joystick, and once the cursor reaches the edge of the window, you can’t move the camera anymore, making camera control almost impossible. [*]Even though KBM is just emulating a controller, the control layout is a complete mess. It’s not like mapping controller buttons in an emulator—everything is disorganized and way more complicated to configure than it should be. Optimization: not great Despite being a fairly low-budget game that originally launched on PlayStation Vita and PS3, and despite its low internal resolution and low-quality models, textures, and effects, the game still demands a surprising amount of resources for what it is. If you want to play at a proper 1080p (using downsampling from around 1728p), forget about using integrated graphics from Intel or AMD—you’ll need at least an entry-level dedicated GPU. Framerate: not what you’d expect The game originally launched with a 30 FPS lock on every platform. With the Director’s Cut update, it officially supported a 60 FPS lock, but it’s far from perfect. Certain aspects of the game break, with the most noticeable being the UI cursor moving at roughly double speed. You can go above 60 FPS, but every higher setting introduces new issues and eventually makes the game unplayable. For example, at a 120 FPS lock the game may seem fine at first, but certain vital combat actions become impossible, such as counter stripping and stripping after attacks. These mechanics are essential in combat, regardless of difficulty. Graphics: are they really that bad? The graphics themselves are pretty meh and even bad: it relies on textures and every area of the game is low-poly and undetailed, but it doesn't look completely terrible. The main issue is what I mentioned earlier: extremely aggressive post-processing and color grading effects that ruin the overall image and further decrease the perceived quality of the game. The only graphics settings you can actually change are resolution, “Max number of NPC,” and “Max number of Draw NPC.” These last two options were never explained by the developers and are probably related to NPC density and distance. The game itself: good or bad? This game was never meant to be taken seriously. It’s a "crappy" game set in otaku paradise, Akihabara. You run around doing not-so-great combat, stripping anime waifus and dudes. Why? Because they’re evil vampires trying to take over our beloved anime land, and someone has to stop them. The gameplay isn’t very polished and can feel finicky, but once you get used to it, it can be fun and worth a shot. It’s not perfect, and the story isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but some of the characters are somewhat likeable. The combat isn’t good, but it makes up for it with the stripping mechanic. With a bit of grinding you can get overpowered pretty easily, and it’s also very easy to get every trophy in the game. The strongest point of the game is its setting: Akihabara, combined with its anime art style and overall theme. If you’re an otaku, this might be for you. That’s really all there is to it. This is not a great game, but it’s a below average title you can play just to laugh a bit and mess around. Grab it on sale and give it a try, but if you’ve never played it before, don’t expect anything amazing.

Wonderful getaway into a civilized, modern, sunny summer in Japan. Casual action gameplay with some stat grinding. Story is alright. Multiple endings. Though takes a bit of attention to trigger obscure ones. Dialogues and characters are cheesy but fit the overall setting. Warning: DLCs and latest release are not worth it. Replaces original assets and introduces a lot of bugs. Get just a core game and use BETAS in properties of Steam to play 2021-01-18 build. It is more stable and has better atmosphere.

This game is goofy and it knows. That's part of what makes it so charming. There is a story and its funny, there is combat and its silly, If i remember correctly it even has English voice acting that isn't awful. It really gives the impression alot of time went into it to give the gamer something they can play and turn off there brain for a few hours. Although, that's probably all you would get is a few hours of entertainment. The story really drags on in places, sidequests, weapons, multiple routes. This is your TYPICAL ecchi jrpg. You can go into this knowing what to expect and one would blame you for it. A la, the same formula as other that match its ilk. I would get it on sale, same with the dlc. If you are not into Old school Jpgs maybe give this one a pass, if anything it's fun to laugh at and say "Hah, this would not have made it after 2020". and at this point it will run on any computer bought within the last 10 years.

This game is not really meant for just anyone. But for those who are 'cultured' enough, its definitely a one of kind, fun and silly game :) The story seemed unrelated to the first game (Hellbound and Debriefed) but there is one character in particular that made a cameo here, albeit a different version of him(?). Torn between which one is best girl but I prefer the good ol childhood friend Tohko, but I will say that Shion is a rather in-depth and well written character. All the characters are fun in their own way. The gameplay, its as wild as one's imagination can get. Stripping a human and make them run home embarrassed or expose a vampire-type creature that's called differently in this game compared to the first game. A decent 8.5/10. Really wanted more story content and fleshed out each of the characters more, its unique gameplay is what makes it stands out a lot.
