Game runs smoothly with no noticeable bugs or game breaking oversights, it is a fun post apocalyptic city builder in an ocean world, from my personal perspective it is a rare game setting which is well made. When first starting it does feel unassuming, the game simultaneously does not take itself seriously yet the world maintains an ominous backstory. Announcer gives the impression of someone within the colony that has taken it upon himself to be the city herald rousing citizens to work and giving relevant notifications, joking or upbeat normally yet when things are serious or making a decision he does not like becomes scared or flippant. Similarly despite triumphant music and colourful world the setting shows how comprehensively it was destroyed including telling how bad the situation of what is left on the mainland is that living on crumbling ruins in the middle of the ocean has become preferrable. There is considerable flavour text in every required decision telling more of the world story which combined with the different available decisions makes the game feel significantly immersive. That and this world becomes increasingly more impressive the longer it continues, in the first levels the meagre scattering of building islands at first reveals itself more over time as the ocean level drops making available land and revealing additional skyscrapers and resources below the waves. It motivates the colony to continue building downward to catch up with the ocean (which is a convenient source of most resources) resulting in a city that is a network of scaffolding and shanty buildings finding stability clinging to the ruins of the past. It does make for great screenshots, a survivor enclave making the best with what they can scavenge and manufacture. For advice when starting a city any idle citizens will immediately start gathering from available resource piles, these will not last forever meaning there is motivation to build bridges and ladders to nearby islands or to different floors to reach more resources. While that happens a small laboratory is needed to research the critical buildings required to sustain a colony like food, water and housing. This game is surprisingly sophisticated with citizen needs, social systems, policy, leisure and housing qualities which is all relevant and can give powerful colony bonuses if managed well. Can spend hours planning out a city so that every need is met while ensuring that minimal space is wasted and that it all still looks pretty, it encourages creative thinking to build around the ruins and that everything works optimally. Finally the philosophy is patience, there is plenty of time in this game. I hope this helps.

The positive is that this game is still enjoyable despite the title mechanic being a novelty. The collapsing mechanic fails to be engaging for a few reasons: The game gives no reason to build in a structurally unstable way. Construction design guardrails prevent unintentional instability. Events do not trigger unforeseeable instability, removing risk. In an ideal version of this game, the environment would periodically test the build quality and not just warn the player of immediate instability. Building outwards should always involve some risk, at least until the very late game.

This is a good game, don't go into it expecting anything like Frostpunk, it's much more casual than that. The political decisions arent that impactful and the "falling" part is only relevent in one scenario. They seem to have cut or scaled back a lot of the difficulty, I agree with some of the negative reviews, but i think they are a bit harsh, at worst this company only over sold what this product is. Overall its quite chill, a solid city builder and i believe they should have advertised it as such instead of going the "frostpunk lite" route.

Im so hooked on this game. Its a take your time, think things through and then bring your plans to fruition game. if you rush your more than likely going to run into problems later in the game. (yes it happened to me on 1st play) Its a city builder, and it does it well. I've only had the game 5 days at writing and I cant put it down. Dev is working hard at fixing any bugs that pop up and hes doing an amazing job at it. If I was going to be picky a few of the problems in the first 5 or so hours are... I deleted my starting storage after getting the upgraded storage thinking it would be fine then I noticed some sims were stuck in a loop and jobs stopped getting done. I was almost sure it was a bug and was about to write to the dev when I noticed the upgraded storage doesn't accept fuel, and because I had deleted all my beginning storage, the sims had no where to put it and were getting caught in a loop. Some better and clearer warnings would of stopped this from happening, on the last storage being deleted it should of stopped me and said can not delete no fuel storage! or anything to let the player know something was wrong. A few times the game could of been clearer with things... Also for anyone else like me that just happens to be colour blind. if your not going to have a colour blind mode, can you please have a mouse scroll over saying what items are and how much is needed? Yes I get it, red means warning or danger, but when I can't see the colour red all it does is make it frustrating (especially as a new player when you don't know what the icons are or the amount that is needed.) But even after that grumble, I love this game! If you like slower city builders that need some thought put in to it, you will enjoy this.

All Will Fall is a city builder simulation game that takes place in the middle of the ocean offering multiple avenues for construction and expansion. So far I haven’t seen a lot of reviews here actually talking about the in-depth nature of the game so I’m gonna do that first. People say it’s like Frostpunk. No. Frostpunk is hostile, stressful and full of so much micromanagement that you’re destined to lose. THIS game? Well it’s more of a casual city builder game but has enough stressful stuff happening to keep you engaged. The overall building mechanics make sense in fact, the entirety of the games mechanics make sense but even more so, they’re fun and engaging. The game offers tons of different scenarios and maps as well as a plethora of random events for you to react to with a diverse tech tree, skill tree of your different types of citizens and the most fun part of all, trying to connect this random land pillar with another land pillar despite the sea levels constantly rising and falling. Overall the entirety of the game’s idea and gameplay was really engaging and fun. But you probably already have an idea of whether you want this game or not and you’re more concerned over things like “Is it worth that price tag?” “Is it stable or buggy and broken?” “Is it any fun? Does it have annoying controls? Well let me answer those for you. For me, and my perspective. Was it worth its price tag? Absolutely. 30 dollars may seem like a lot for a game like this but for everything this game gives you it’s worth it. Is it stable? Yep! Game ran super smoothly and I never ran into any game breaking bugs or glitches or anything like that. Is it any fun? Does it have annyong controls? It’s fun, yes, especially if you're a fan of city builders like me. Does it have annoying controls? Nope! And even if it did for you, the game also has a way to switch 'em up pretty easily and simply without having to worry about it too much just in case. So yeah, I recommend it. It’s pretty good and it’s worth the price. But if you're still not sure I encourage you to check out the review on my YouTube Channel (link below). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4Zn7cT0o74 Otherwise, thanks so much for reading and I hope I was able to help some of you out there spend your money wisely.
